Called Amazon about my order... "This is going to be released tomorrow and will ship as soon as possible."
A little jealous, almost feels like I should have done Newegg... We will see how the day progresses though.
Picked a 1700X, Gigabyte AX370 Gaming 5, Noctua D15 with AM4 adapter... since Corsair dragged their feet about AM4 adapters for the H100i V2. Reusing Team Dark 3000MHZ 2x8 C15, Evga Supernova 1300, 980Ti. Holding off on video card until I see what Vega brings to the table.
I nearly did that but decided to reseat everything after my trip to work. CPU, Ram, GPU along with every power connection. And she came to life, I guess one of these connections wasn't sound. All appears to be well at the moment.
Thanks for the help gents!
Ordered new parts this past week - 6700k, Asrock Z170M Extreme 4, Team Dark 3000mhz 16 gb kit, Thermaltake Core V21 with some parts from my old build - 980Ti, EVGA supernova 1300wt psu, 1TB 850 Evo, 2 spinner hard drives.
After putting it together everything turns on but I get no signal to my...
My last two cards were my most expensive cards. 980Ti - $680; 780Ti $620. I'd imagine my next card likely to be a 1080Ti, guessing it will be around that much as well.
Picked this up from some others recommended via this thread.

Considering we are only a couple days away from the official unveiling... seeing that I have a note 4 already, I am just looking forward to a new phone in general though.
I am still really content with my 6700, the jump from a Korean 1440p monitor to this was so worth it. I just see adding another 980Ti in the near future though to make everything smoother.
And on the firmware topic, it still seems like most of the firmwares are an improvement as they pump...
Got it all set up yesterday! Thanks to Zarathustra[H], for his guide on setting up the tv. Helped a bunch. 980Ti and this TV in the same day haha.
Honestly the 6700 is pretty good so far, granted if I have any issue it will be going right back to hhgregg. I haven't played anything super fast...
Well guys, I am finally joining the club! I ordered a MSI 980Ti and picked up a 48" JU6700 today! Should be able have it up and running tomorrow afternoon, can't wait. This thread MADE me do it, lol.
I'd be jumping calling them up... especially if they sent you back a card that died again. Considering their normal reputation for customer service, I don't imagine they would leave you high and dry.
On the upgrade part, I'm honestly not sure what I would even pick. Either card will be solid at...
When I did my upgrade last night, I had issues installing my video card drivers... granted I was spam installing all of my drivers as usual. Just rebooted then GG EZ.
I feel like this falls into the whole personal preference. I'm at 27" 1440p, and I'm about hop on the Samsung 48" 4k curved train. I honestly don't know how well I'll handle the change, but I am rather excited to see if its awesome!
Anyone play any MOBA's on these, curious since I play League of Legends like half the time I'm gaming. Never really hear about League in 4k though.
Thanks!
Wow, what a ride. Started this thread a few days again... I believe I'll be looking at the 48" JU6700 first, then grabbing a 980ti later over my 780ti. Hopefully in the next few weeks!
It was nice being able to gather tons of info from everyone on their experiences with their respective sets...
Honestly, I felt the same when I moved from my original Naga to the 2014 edition... First few days was different adjusting to the larger buttons. After that it was back to business as usual.
