I think the worse part about this is that cageymaru just repeated what the article said. This is a tech news site and they just go along with the article stating airplane mode doesn't actually display LTE/WIFI? I'd expect more from someone who posts news on HardOCP.
So this is rather misleading, and if you do the smallest amount of work and find where this assumption originated from you'll see it was pretty much misunderstood/misquoted.

I've read HardOCP for years but lately is seems like Megalith is just using it to trash on things he doesn't like and it feels more like a Google News feed then anything else.
The guy doesn't have a Nobel Peace Prize like it makes it seem, he has a Nobel Memorial Prize which has pretty much...
Matt, I haven't really kept up with this thread since I bought a Da Box and I haven't even seen my Da Box since I had to have it shipped to my brother in the states instead of over here in Germany. Are you planning on shipping these replacement parts to everyone who bought a Da Box or just on a...
At least you guys will have yours soon, I had to ship mine to my brother to hold on to because I'm stationed in Germany and APO is shit. It would either end up stolen, broken or lost so I have to wait until a not so busy time of the year then have him mail it to me. Poor lil tink tink, aint that...

I have a Gateway FX 7805u (got it from BB almost a year about for $1050). Great gaming laptop, I've never had any problems with it.
I've also heard Gateway is going to be coming out with some new gaming laptops soon for the holiday season. Check out notebookreview.com and look around their...
There have been a few times where I've come too close to throwing my xbox 360 at my win 7 comp. because they didn't want to play nice. The only thing that works good to fix the connection is restarting everything (comp, xbox and router).
I didn't really read the whole thread so I don't know what has been suggested.
I use C# and XNA myself. You can get Visual Studio Express and XNA for free from MS, theres a good community and its pretty easy to jump into.

This thread makes me very impatient, ya I could buy a 5870 now or I could wait a while and have extra money to possible get larger screens once the price drops a bit. Decisions, decisions...
I good reformatting every month or so. I keep all my important stuff on external harddrives so I usually don't have to worry about backing everything up.
I hated Vista when I first started using it, and when I made the jump to Win 7 it wasn't too bad but I can see where you're coming from. Its a big change but all it takes is a little time and you'll get used to it.
I'm looking into removing all the extra wires coming out of my power supply. I'd imagine this would require opening the power supply and desoldering a bunch of wires (I'll have no problem doing this). Does anyone know of anyone who has done this before so I can see how someone else did it...
I'm looking for the dimensions of an Acer AL2216WBD without the stand, it seems like every site has a different set of dimensions and it seems like they all include the stand as well.
Would anyone be able to help me out?
I just ordered a 8800 GT that I'm going to install on this motherboard but I'm wondering if I'm going to run into any problems, has anyone installed a nVidia video card on this motherboard before? I'm hoping there wont be any problems when i have to uninstall the old drivers for the igp.
I just ordered one from Newegg, I don't game any high res or use any settings that need the 512MB version so I figured I'd save $80. My plan is to step-up if the new cards are released in Feb 08 like everyone has been talking about, but even if they aren't I'll just step-up to whatever I can...
