BOO TO YOU ASSUS.
After having no problems with abit for years, I decided to move from a 939 pin abit mobo that was a little lacking.
Everyone was down on abit so I decided to go the ASSUS route. I too purchased the p5n-deluxe board the day it came out, and have nothing but trouble out of...
Hot deal!!!!!!!
Thanks so much.
called lisa at around 10AM today.
She got me all setup. Nice person, and she really hooked my up! The hot deal thread is closed....but i think it should still be open....I had no problems ordering today.
Thanks so much to the op.
:D
so on page 7, does that mean I can buy ut3, crysis, and get cod 4 and the orange box for free?
also right below that is says 4 easy ways to shop, so would that deal work online on friday?
I work in IT, and today I got a broke powerbook g4 placed on my desk.
Thing had been dropped.
Turns on fine.
But sits at what I think is the mac load screen(apple with a pin wheel spinning below it).
I know how to take the harddrive out(found a guide online)
However, ive never used...
My wish for the new year is to be running an overclocked 65nm 939 dual core chip @ 3.4GHz next christmas.
Odds are it wont happen.
If it does, though, 939 will belong in the same socket hall of fame as Socket A.
Sure its about me.
Its about my current setup...and what I can buy @ newegg that makes the best use of my money for my next upgrade.
Much in the same way that I dont care if intel is getting rid of IDE, and the industry(system builders) are gonna follow suit.
I have too many IDE devices...
In my supply chain I have newegg.
And newegg offers 939 dual core opterons that are competitive in price to the am2 dual core processors.
They also offer 7800GS's that arent commanding as much of a premium as the 8800's were a couple weeks back.
It would be cheaper for many AGP/pci...
you're prolly with the same crowd that said AGP was dead.
Turns out....it wasnt.
And 3 more mid-high end cards have been released since everyone started proclaiming it dead.
In the meantime someone...somewhere.. with a 939 AGP system is sitting pretty and hasnt had to do a major upgrade...
I agree 100%
If DDR1 prices were still low there would be no reason for AM2.
But if DDR1 continues to rise...and DDR2 lowers.....
Then there comes a point where the platform doesnt make sense(which is why AM2 was made in the first place i guess)....
For upgraders though, AMD should...
On my computer(in mah sig) I mostly play BF2 @ 1600x1200 4xAA 16xAF in fully populated 64 men servers with plenty of FPS to spare.
With the cheapo 200 dollar dual core hot rod Ima have a file server/HDTV movie player/torrent box/family internet box.
Thanks for the reassurance fellas...
Thats 150 bux more than I paid for my 3800+ parts.....and u still need a video card, depending on what ds3 u are talking about. And no DVI for the ds3 for built in video....so no go for me.
?
150+ dollars for extra points in benchmarks>?
Nvida 6150 AM2 with a 65watt 3800x2 is a better value.
well.
The linksys routers default is the 192.168.1.1
and smoothwall is setup as 192.168.0.1
And ive got um both entered....so im not blocking any friendly subnets that may be active inside the lan.
Ive tried without encryption.....and then with it....It works fine with both. Till I do...
I just got two 3800's for christmas.
130 a piece.
The e6300(which i considered) was 180 a piece. Plus the premium for a intel socket mobo.
Is th 6300 that much faster to warrant the premium? I mean I know the 6300 is faster...but how much....and is the 50+ price difference worth it...
Ive got zone alarm tamed...its on all the computers I got and it never gives me problems....as long as u add your internal network IP range to the trusted zone like so.
Ill check the wireless connections DNS
Thats what the DHCP log looks like of the smoothwall. THe core2duo7900gs is the laptop. Note the fact that the core2duo7900gs is getting 2 IP's from the smoothwall(wireless & wired). Of course it only gets a wireless IP if the wired part of the laptop is plugged in.
THeres some more...
Also....still cant connect to the wireless router after I turn off DHCP and make it hand out smoothwall's DHCP IP's.
The smoothwall hands out IP's between 192.168.0.100-200
Ive set the Linksys wireless to 192.168.0.150 and 192.168.0.202(inside and outside what the Smoothwall hands out)and...
Alright Ive done everything you've mentioned.
Still cant connect to the wireless, but get this. If i have a wire plugged into the linksys itll hand out a ip and I can get online. Also, if I leave the wire plugged in my wireless eventually gets an IP from the smoothwall also!?!? However it...
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1126458
pretty much the same thing i got going on at the end of that thread.
Theres got to be a in depth guide online somewhere for this.
Ok got that....
Still cant get the wireless.
What kills me....is i can plug into the wireless router....and get an IP from the smoothwall....but the wireless wont work
?
So the wireless router seems to be doing what I tell it....cept on the wireless end.
Also....I can connect to the...
Yeah thats all working correctly....hardware/cable wise.
Ok....the linksys wireless is in the DHCP range that the smoothwall assigns...so ill make it outside.
No I didnt....thats prolly my main problem.....what would be the default for the smoothwall.
