you're prolly with the same crowd that said AGP was dead. Turns out....it wasnt. And 3 more mid-high end cards have been released since everyone started proclaiming it dead. In the meantime someone...somewhere.. with a 939 AGP system is sitting pretty and hasnt had to do a major upgrade...

I agree 100% If DDR1 prices were still low there would be no reason for AM2. But if DDR1 continues to rise...and DDR2 lowers..... Then there comes a point where the platform doesnt make sense(which is why AM2 was made in the first place i guess).... For upgraders though, AMD should...

Thats 150 bux more than I paid for my 3800+ parts.....and u still need a video card, depending on what ds3 u are talking about. And no DVI for the ds3 for built in video....so no go for me. ? 150+ dollars for extra points in benchmarks>? Nvida 6150 AM2 with a 65watt 3800x2 is a better value.

well. The linksys routers default is the 192.168.1.1 and smoothwall is setup as 192.168.0.1 And ive got um both entered....so im not blocking any friendly subnets that may be active inside the lan. Ive tried without encryption.....and then with it....It works fine with both. Till I do...

I just got two 3800's for christmas. 130 a piece. The e6300(which i considered) was 180 a piece. Plus the premium for a intel socket mobo. Is th 6300 that much faster to warrant the premium? I mean I know the 6300 is faster...but how much....and is the 50+ price difference worth it...

Ive got zone alarm tamed...its on all the computers I got and it never gives me problems....as long as u add your internal network IP range to the trusted zone like so. Ill check the wireless connections DNS

Thats what the DHCP log looks like of the smoothwall. THe core2duo7900gs is the laptop. Note the fact that the core2duo7900gs is getting 2 IP's from the smoothwall(wireless & wired). Of course it only gets a wireless IP if the wired part of the laptop is plugged in. THeres some more...

Also....still cant connect to the wireless router after I turn off DHCP and make it hand out smoothwall's DHCP IP's. The smoothwall hands out IP's between 192.168.0.100-200 Ive set the Linksys wireless to 192.168.0.150 and 192.168.0.202(inside and outside what the Smoothwall hands out)and...

Yeah thats all working correctly....hardware/cable wise. Ok....the linksys wireless is in the DHCP range that the smoothwall assigns...so ill make it outside. No I didnt....thats prolly my main problem.....what would be the default for the smoothwall.
