There's not much difference between the Z560's and Z680, except the center channel, decoders, and remote control. If you're not happy with the Z560's, you should look at the Megaworks, Gigaworks, or Klipsch Ultra's.

That's normal. You'll only get 5.1 sound when viewing DD/DTS dvd's when using the digital input. You'll have to use 5.1 analog inputs on your reciever (if it has them) to get 5.1 sound in games and music.

When I RMA'ed my set, they just asked me for the serial on the bottom of the sub.

Downgrade your car. This will also cause the AI to be downgraded as well. Try it, it works.:)
