Couldn't avoid this deal. But the DV thing is a problem. My LG Oled streaming from plex has no issues (of course, it supports DV), the new samsung pops up an error message that says "Playback Error" - "File is unplayable. Color space is not supported."

A quick google for reviews turned up "tons" (meaning, the only complaints I saw were all saying the same thing) of people saying the same thing on amazon reviews, and reddit. Was enough to scare me away, but I've got enough great keyboards to hold me over so my opinion probably means nothing...

Tons of reports of the keys failing after approx. 18 months of use, and the company being extremely hard to deal with w.r.t. the 2 year warranty. Of course, I'm sure there are lots of people having success, but I decided to cancel my order after reading those reports... Can't be bothered.

I have the Rift. The generally held position is that using only two cameras mounted in the HMD is going to be terrible for tracking the controllers. It's already questionable when using 4 cameras as compared to having 3 lighthouses.

So, I checked each of these, and all they did was make me realize how much better the frontpage of hardocp.com is compared to its peers. Yuck.

But, with only 2 cameras, this headset isn't going to be great for gaming anyway.

The point is probably moot. Your build timeline is this winter. By that time, there's at least a decent chance that the new 11xx line will be out. That will change things. I'd suggest you re-evaluate closer to your build time. Even the processor should be in question with a 6 month...
