I have an EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra since new and I use two cables (one being daisy chained) for the three 8 pin plugs. There SHOULD be no issue doing that... My psu is an old Corsair Ax860i
So, can one run an 11700k at gear 1, higher than the stated 2933ghz? I have 3200c14 ram, is it possible to do that 1:1 or will I have to go with the 11900k for that?
Q¢
I thought you meant you had already pre ordered an 11 series CPU. I'd say buy the 11700k and sell the 10700k, if you are seeking the pcie 4.0 drive benchmarking scores. Otherwise put the money in the sock drawer and wait a little longer and see if prices change a lot or they sneak another...
Everything will be ok. You won't have any issue selling it if you don't open it. Were you planning on extreme overclocking? What do you use the pc for mostly?
For sure man, you nailed it. It's definitely not because certain individuals kept going on and on about AMD, after being politely told right off the bat that there was no interest in AMD.
Trust me big guy - I know you are super smart - but asking for someone to post their promised 11900k review doesn't warrant an unwanted lesson in CPU's, not to mention you had nothing to do with it. I know all about AMD and their latest offerings, and how they compare to Intel. But when one...
I would get a forum restraining order on that creeper stalker dude. That's beyond weird. Suddenly realizing why I stopped visiting this forum years ago...
Or, perhaps some people have their reasons for what they're looking for and don't need to explain it to any forum trolls? Haven't you posted enough times to realize when to open your mouth and when to keep quiet kirbster? I asked the OP when his 11900k review was coming, and someone felt the...
Noko - you are in an Intel section of the forum in a thread talking about new Intel CPU's. I don't give two shits about your thoughts on AMD. You took it upon yourself to respond to my request to the OP to post the other review he mentioned at the top of this thread. Now that I've made it...
I'm getting in the mood to upgrade my six year old Z97X board (by far the longest I've gone with one build). Call me crazy but a z390 and a 9600K running at a decent speed (4.8-5.0ghz) seems like plenty of power and features for me.
I first did an upgrade (very early on) from 7 to 10 on my Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK (first time ever upgrading Windows  ) . It had some issues, so I tried to uninstall/reinstall every driver I possibly could. It was much better after doing that. Eventually I did install from scratch. It...
Just curious, but why would you not "risk it" with them? Pretty sure they have a lifetime warranty like most other good brands. Most of this stuff is the same underneath the pretty heatsinks/labels anyhow.
Is your signature actually accurate? You're running an Abit IC7 with a p4 currently?!
What do you plan to do with your new build ? <--- most important question
I used to buy a lot of Mushkin RAM, never had any real issues with any of it. They have been around for a good while and I would not hesitate to buy their ram if your board supports it.
Normally I keep to myself on this forum, but mainly I wanted to make sure you knew you were seriously "doing it wrong" as the kids say these days. He tried to help you understand, and you totally missed it.
Warm Regards,

He did, and you basically gave him your opinion and felt the need to argue with him about it when he didn't agree. He can do whatever the hell he wants - either give him a valid suggestion for the board he's looking for or move on.
I'm in the same boat, for the second time. Just before this thread was created I was looking and couldn't find one I wanted. Now I really need one, and there are even less. I should have snagged one then. (mainly looking for Amazon Prime stock) I just grabbed an Asus Z97-A usb 3.1, but...

Evga 980 ti classified, 4790k at 4.6GHz.
I can tell you that clocking up my cpu barely makes any impact on this benchmark or the Heaven one. My cpu can more or less do 4.8GHz but the voltage required (and in turn, heat generated) just isn't...
Once after sending me a replacement that didn't work perfectly (I think this was a Sapphire X1900XT or something) This guy Tony at Althon Micro told me I would have to sell the card on ebay if the next one didn't work...
