Hello folks. It's been a while since I've posted here, but figured I would start here before selling the laptop on eBay again. I recently purchased this laptop, as in, it was delivered brand new 4 days ago. I was moving away from the Macbook as I was having an issue with the Macbook screen hinge...
I'm trying to figure out how you guys are getting these PSU's sleeved... do they come that way or are you doing it yourselves, or do you purchase different cables after the fact?
Greetings folks. I have recently sent 7 drives back to WD for RMA and they have all been replaced with recertified drives. Prices are SHIPPED.

It's not. I just picked it up and am transitioning from an RB450G which is behind the cable management block. I'm trying to to configure it quite differently this go around. Maybe some VM vlans, and a separate wifi network with limited IP access across the wall, etc.
My current setup: Synology 1812+ with 8x 2TB w/ 10TB usable. Just making the cut for this thread.
Below that is my main rig, and an ESX 5.5 server I use for creating test cluster, etc.
What kind of software setup do you have on that system? I've wanted to configure a similar machine, but wanted ESXi running for VMs and some kind of raid setup that wasnt hardware. So I gave up and ended up with a Synology and a VM server. Though my board maxes at 24GB of ram :-(
Just a heads up to Galant owners... I thought we had to buy the frame in order to replace the table top, but if you go into the store, you can buy just the table tops for each section. Maybe most know that, but I just found out. Thought I'd share. : )
Hi guys, I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me troubleshoot my issue with a brand new setup I just purchased. This is my very first SSD as a boot device. I've used them in Vmware ESX servers as datastores, but not as a boot device and I'm trying to figure out why I'm having the odd...
I really like those xcase chassis, I'm curious if anyone would buy them here(USA).... We should do a bulk order to save on shipping. I'd buy 10 rm 424 pro cases if I could sell them.
Hey guys, I hate to toss these things in the trash so I thought I'd just post them for sale. Here they are.
sorry for the crappy pic

Yeah, exactly. I had my wallet open and was about to give him a $20 and he insisted no. You take away from peoples ability to "serve" you if you force money on them. I do work for people all the time for free(fixing computers, etc, etc, etc) and I enjoy the pleasure of helping out my fellow man...
Yeah, i was going to give them a plug here, but figured since most aren't local to Atlanta. But either way, I'm posting on their google maps reviews or whatever. Fantastic shop.
Just wanted to post an update. I couldnt draw the piece to save my life, so I just took it to a local machine shop and they had the genius idea of just welding a piece of tubing to a flat tab. So here is the end result. To make the matter even better, they didn't change me a penny to do it. :)
Its mounted on a steel computer rack, it has to be identical unless i'm to redrill the holes on the unit which I'm unable to do. I have looked at home depot, and they dont have the same thing unfortunately.
Hey guys, I'm not really sure where to turn here, but my rack has these barrel hinges and one has busted off, so I'm trying to figure out where to get another from. It's a real simple piece of metal bent into a tube with a tab on the end, but I honestly have no clue what kind of company would do...
Thread Crapping is such a strong word.
@BobbyTables
That case is great looking. I've been searching and searching for something that is not rackmount but has hotswap and I always figured I'd go with 5x3.5" drive modules in a standard case, but that one is perfect. Now just to find...
Well I wanted a good amount of air flow as my rack is bigger and has more gear in it. If I can get it all in, I'll have a quad core xeon, i7, 2x 650w+ psu, 11 HDDs, a 3U UPS(which does generate heat for some reason), a Mikrotik RB450, and a 24 port HP Procurve gigabit switch which also generates...
Hey guys, I've got this rack I've had for years and I finally decided to get it powder coated and am going to mount some fans in the top of it and possibly put an HVAC air filter at the bottom of it. Take a look at the images in this gallery and give me some feedback on this whole idea before I...
Have you heard the A5 series of speakers? I have them and am curious how they compare with those that you have. I'd like to put them on my computer since they are smaller.
How are you guys making those mini shelves on your galant, jerker, etc... desks? It looks like a shelf + one of those 3 sizes of legs? I dont know the name of any of it, but I've seen the legs, just not the shelves.
Also, does anyone know if you can buy just the Galant table top? I've got a...
