I want this build to last 2-3 years.
Basically, I had been set on a P5W-DH Deluxe
But now with DDR3 on the horizon, i'm eyeing the P5K3.
Should I bother with the P5K3 and DDR3, or just go with P5K and DDR2?
How exactly is the P5K > P5W?
Which should I purchase for the longer run?
Thanks.

Ok, I took out the 6600GT and booted the PC, I get the beep code for EGA (Enhanced Graphics Accelerator) error. This indicates that it is a problem with the GFX card because the mobo fired up once I took the card out. Any idea what I can do for a faulty GFX card?

I'm looking at the Asus P5W DH or the new P32N-SLI E (680i) chipset. I'm a casual gamer, but I feel like SLI is going to be the norm come 2-3 yrs down the line. I don't build new rigs very often (once every 4 years), so I want to build something to last me that long. Anyway, being a casual...

I bought an antec true power 2.0 550 watt psu and that did the trick. I connected the pin to my mobo so I can monitor the fan speed, can I set that, or is it just for monitoring purposes only?
The whirring noise is not from the video card, because I still heard it before I installed the card. I'll check, but if the PS fan died, would that cause the PS to not produce enough power for the vid card?
Been hearing a 'whirring' noise from my PC for quite a while now. Sounds like a fan is dying or something. Anyway, today I turned on the PC and there is nothing on my monitor. That is, it doesn't show a boot screen, or anything. However the PC is working because if I let windows load (IE just...

Umm, I bought some Logitech Z-560's from my local PC shop, and I'm trying to get them configured correctly with my PC. I have a SBLive 5.1 sound card, and the speakers are hooked up correctly. However, whenever I play an MP3, the sound only comes out of the two front speakers, and the rear...
