Got my LG OLED this week and Plex direct streams 4K 10bit HDR stuff to the Apple TV 4K without any issue. Very happy with this setup! Wondering if having i3-8100 in my NAS helps? (Intel Quicksync)
Ever figure out the fix? I have a 4K tv on the way and use the same setup. I experienced the same black screen issue in Plex on my ATV4K when I tested some 10bit 4K HDR media on my 1080p screen. Chalked it up as I just need a 4K TV to see it.
Not like the photo! There's some light coming from Springdale, which is why the canyon wall is lit up, but it basically looked like faint clouds to the naked eye. It didn't help that my eyes kept adjusting to the camera screen! I got up at 3:30AM for the shot and I only stayed out long enough to...
I'm going to recommend unRAID. I've been using it for about 6 years now. It's not an off-the-shelf solution like a QNAP, as it's wholly DIY; as in buy all the components you need and build a computer.
The upside to unRAID is that you can use a mix of any disk size you want, as long as it...
Have you given Emby a try for Live TV duties? I currently use a HDHR + Emby to stream my cable connection. Works quite well, even remotely. Even taught the wife how to use Emby with the Chromecast. The guide looks great, but I had to pay for a listings subscription with Schedules Direct.

Glad my wife wasn't around for some of the cut-scenes. Speaking of, is there a profanity filter that can be enabled? I prefer not having to use headphones.
Thanks! I think this little post helped me decide which graphics card to go with.

Update: I've installed the Noctua L9i. I had to remove the motherboard because I couldn't access the top two HSF mounting holes while the motherboard was installed in the case. :(
While I love the Wenge wood, I feel like the case is missing something because it looks weird when sitting upright...
Hi all,
I'm a huge fan of small form factor and ITX builds. A couple of years ago I built a Node 202 gaming PC but still thought there was too much wasted space. After selling the Node build, I tried to simplify my setup by adding a video card to my unRAID NAS and going virtualized (think Linus...
