Funny - I've read posts lately of people that didn't know CPUs came in slot form... and you've got a slotket!
Looks like a Golden Orb cpu cooler too - I remember when that was as good as it gets.
"This is as good as it gets." - me on this same page...
Swapped in one of the new Ultitubes, switched to EK ram block, changed the ZMT in the back over to acrylic, turned the pumps around, mounted the aquaero 6lt/splitty/farbwerk to the motherboard tray.
Rev. X :D
I can't even count how many times I've taken this computer apart to change something, to have to change something else. What I have now is the best possible outcome given the cooling equipment, from flow to load temperatures - it can't get any better.
We also used 7/16" tubing on 1/2" barbs. That offered a bit more flow, and the only way I could take it off was by cutting it - like you said, without any clamps on it.
I've done both and currently have a PETG setup, with some ZMT in the back running to additional pumps. That being said, I've...
Making a little more progress on this one. Went to Optimus Foundation and a 3900x. I've still got a few fittings to swap out, and going to go to the barrowch flow meter, and find a 90* fitting combination to mount it to the bottom outlet of the rear D5 pump.
Thanks
... Rev 3 is getting rid of the u that comes out of the pump res combo. Lol
I'm mounting the other d5 to the rear fan, putting on an Optimus black and nickel CPU block, a few 45* fittings, and a heat killer PCH block.
Thanks
The flow meter is the Bykski aluminum unit.
I was hesitant on the aluminum, but after researching,I think I'm good. What I've found is that the anodizing process inhibits galvanic corrosion, and I'm using mayhem's biocide+ with their corrosion inhibitor.
So, as I understand - you're using a single color led strip?
That strip needs a power and ground (two wires)?
What is stopping you from buying the strip you've found, that meets your other requirements, and adjusting the terminal placement as you need in your application?
I think this is a bit of a stretch - It doesn't look like either is a knock off of the other.
As far as similarities, at some point, every case is going to have a motherboard installed in it... right? I will say that I recently purchased a Jonsbo case. I was very happy dealing with the fluent...
The mod 1 seems to be available on the jonsbo site.
The rm4 pulls air from the left side which is filtered, and from the bottom which is filtered.
As far as the lighted emblem, I've grown tired of it too and unplugged it. I have seen some images on the net in which the user modified the...
So far, it seems to be of very reasonable quality. It doesn't quite 'feel' like a Lian Li - because the chassis is steel.
Most important question - would I buy it again? Yes.
I've been watching these cases over the last few months, and visiting the manufacturer's new US website on a weekly basis.
I had emailed several European companies about purchasing this case and having it shipped to me in the states. Every company was more than willing to do so, but delivery...
I don't know specific numbers - maybe check that link I gave earlier to compare your results to theirs.
I do know that I was only able to find one benchmark that gave consistent results with mine in RAID 0, which was Atto.
At the moment mine may be down. I'm having trouble with posting past...
I use ATTO disk benchmark v3.05.
https://www.atto.com/disk-benchmark/
I went with a pair of the retail 960 EVOs in RAID 0. Performance is phenomenal. I know this is not your configuration, but you did mention an interest in RAID. I think you'll be able to see some numbers for comparison here...
Actually, the cooler will mount vertically with this board, and I've tested the temps, which were
negligible. However, with the TRUE mounted horizontally it really helps cool the north bridge (and the GTX 260), w/o it the n/b would need a fan ( and more noise). As well, the rear fan is an...
Not a whole lot has changed in the way of my PC... except the fan, and more RAM.
Instead of the annual upgrade, I opted for a higher performance laptop that would help more with some of my work and hobbies.
The desktop isn't really used too much anymore, but my desk really needs some...
All of your work looks great, but you gotta practice on the soldering. ;)
Hard to understand how Dell could just drop your claim... or why it wasn't through FedEx, since the damage occurred during shipping.
Anyways, back to work.
Up for grabs, Ikea Galant black with silver legs. Local pick up only, in great shape, missing one screw that does not affect sturdiness.
$150
I'll help you load it.
One thing I just can't get past on most of the top running cases now (not considering my V1000 and the aluminum silverstones) is the super cheesy plastic/rubber diaphragms(?) for the cable pass through(s). Just really makes the case look cheap.
You'll get it, no big deal... Something I use that I haven't seen many others use in years of looking, is a wire coat hanger cut and bent to shape with cables strategically strapped to it.
a close view,
...and place fans in a position that the wires will be shown as little as...
...gotta say, even with all those wires, that's a lot of tape!
Invest in a bag of small black zip ties >$5, and fasten what you can together; it'll look much better.
Here's mine:
It's a mess, and I've been really busy lately, with little time to go through this stuff... and to top it off, my wife just comes and piles more stuff up all the time...
I sure do enjoy it. When thinking of building something new, I can't quite determine where I would go with a replacement for this pc. I've had this setup for over a year with the only issue being a GTX260 card that went bad after a few months. Otherwise, it's been going great at 3GHz without...
The problem (IMO) with small compressors just for blowing dust out of a pc is cost. When you add up the total of any decent equipment, it will surely be closer to $200... unless you get some crazy $49.99 package deal at WalMart that's liable to explode the second time you use it.
I would...
