Well, I guess I stumped everyone.
Anyway...... as an update, the problem is fixed, as I got an answer from Hauppauge tech support finally.
From Hauppauge:

Hopefully someone out there has experience with the WinTV2K application.
I had WinTV2K installed from the CD that came with my WinTV GO pci card. Combined with WinScheduler (also from the install CD) it all worked perfectly fine with WindowXP, as I could schedule shows to be recorded as MPG...

Use services.msc to disable services you don't want running.
Use msconfig to disable startup programs from running when you boot up, of which, all of them can be unchecked/disabled.
Brawler/bruiser !
Just kidding...... it's fun though and quite the butt-kicker.
Anyway, I haven't played a caster in the last year I've played. Yet, I rarely see illusionists and have read about them having gotten nerfed pretty bad.
Oh, and congrats on getting EQ2.
That's the chance you or any of us take, buying on the day of release. You spend more and there is the uncertainty. You can't blame anyone but yourself.
No, Doom3 is not a bad game, it's fun as hell. If you would enjoy being terrified and panicked while playing a game with the lights out and sound up loud, then you would love Doom3.
Few people whine/complain about Doom3, but those that do in this forum, whine/complain again and again and...
It took time for them to actually improve their drives quality to go beyond a year on a regular basis.
And yes, I got burned by WD. Two drives died, one at 13 months and the other at 14 months. Regardless of WD's warranty talk, they are permanently banned from any consideration of my...
That OCZ memory should OC pretty well. A couple of things to remember though:
- the higher you push the OC, the more you might have to relax the timings
- the max OC possible is just as dependant on the motherboard as it is on the memory
In the left part of the ASE window, expand the filter "version" and see if there is a 1.02 option. If not, then you don't have the latest update for ASE. If so, but 1.01 or lower is checked, then check 1.02 and refresh the list.
If 1.02 is not listed, temporarily you can check "other" and...
Are you not filtering out password protected servers?
I haven't run it yet with BF2, I'm going off experience with ASE and BF '42/Nam. Then, if you didn't filter out the passworded servers and tried to connect with the wrong data, it would do nothing.
That too. I really meant Gabe's lying to consumers to sell other companies hardware he has made deals with. Your point is valid also...... it must be a chunk of the budget to fill his belly day after day for all those years, LOL.
LOL......
Thanks for the info guys. That's the answer I've been waiting for, so I can now go buy BF2.
After using ASE for BF '42/Nam, I can't stand the ingame browsers anymore. It's ASE or nothing.
Thanks again.
