Just wanted to report, the DWF is back in the box and the DW is set up and is reporting 1000 nits correctly in windows calibration tool. Also of not i did notice a difference in the midtones and near blacks. They are certainly better on the dw. Peak brightness i must admit looks roughly the same...

I think cause they cut this deal with me thats why. Which i understand, they dont really feel like esssentially loaning me a thousand dollars for a month lol

Ehh i mean, not like im spending the full amount for a new monitor, just the differnce between the two, i am ultimately sending the other one back. Cant afford that much monitor lol

Honestly I think I'd prefer the accuracy of the DW. Maybe I'm just anal, but I just prefer it. That's why I stopped getting Samsung tvs. They mess with the picture even with HGIG enabled for consoles. I've been sticking to LG for TV's as of late

I could try, i live in a relatively small apartment with my wife, so theres not alot of room to put two massive (massive to me ) ultrawides side by side.

So what steps did you take exactly to get it to clip at 620? Can you try to go step by step and recreate this? Wanna see if i can make it happen on my end. Seems definetly bugged. I mean its only been out for a month, but still STRANGE

Yea I think you're right, just a heads up Hellblade Senuas sacrifice look beyond amazing in hdr on this panel. I was playing it a bit and man when they focus on her face and the rest of the screen goes black. It's amazing looking.

Tried it for whatever reason not showing 10 bit in windows, maybe that glitch got fixed? Hard to tell. This whole thing seems odd. I think I'm just gonna keep the monitor. The hdr 1000 mode still looks pretty good to my eyes imo. Idk ugh Im feeling the fomo

Well I just got home from work. I did add custom values to show the same values in both DXDiag as well as in windows advanced display settings show a max of 1060 nits. I had dx diag report .00020 min, 1060 max and 273 maxfull. You are correct. Did nothing in being correct in the calibration...

Does anyone think manually changing the values in cru would correct this issue, if i just match the min max and maxfullframe luminance, theoretically it should match up one to one no? and i would assume testing that in the windows hdr calibrator would work
