My AMD Ryzen 5950x is a beast of a CPU! I cruise with averages around 4700mhz. Extremely happy with going with AMD instead of INTEL for gaming / prod

This is just a feel good rant, but I wanted to let everyone know the AMD Ryzen 5950x is one hell of a CPU! I was torn between the 5800x3d and the 5950x but I'm glad I chose the latter. I am rocking an air cooled Torrent build with an NH-D15 cooler and my thermals never get past 73C while under...

Need assistants w/ Fractal Torrent RGB variant ( How to daisy chain the RGB fans correctly and where to plug in )

I figured it out. The first 180mm fan needed to be hooked up to the RGB slot on the motherboard. Once I downloaded the RGB fusion software it was playing properly. ( MOBO = x570s Aorus Master ) Thanks for the reply though.

Need assistants w/ Fractal Torrent RGB variant ( How to daisy chain the RGB fans correctly and where to plug in )

Hardforum Team, I just completed my new Fractal Design Torrent build yesterday. Everything turned on except the RGB fans that come with the case. I followed the instructions in the manual even though they are pretty vague. Wanted to see if anyone else has the same case and if you went thru the...

Yep. The warranty is a big plus for me when investing in parts. Noctua has a good program compared to Thermalright.

Yep I have been noticing that Thermalright does not reach a lot of markets past the Pacific's..

Do you have any experience with the Thermalright Frost Commander 140mm? Looks beefy as well.

Battle of the air/thermal siphon coolers ( Noctua NH-D15 vs. IceGiant ProSiphon Elite )

Researching Thermalright now. The price per performance is unmatched really.. Got to consider this brand when I'm ready to pull the trigger. if the Noctua DH-15 goes on sale ill snag it but if its still $100+ I might go with Thermalright. Thanks for the feedback Sly.

Battle of the air/thermal siphon coolers ( Noctua NH-D15 vs. IceGiant ProSiphon Elite )

I am building a new gaming rig and the cooler is up next on the list of parts to get. My question is: What are peoples experience with Noctua NH-D15s and IceGiant ProSiphon Elites coolers? Here are my current part specs: Fractal Design Torrent RGB ( BIG AIR FOCUSED CASE ) x570s Aorus Master...

Very true. I am going to pull the trigger on the 5800X3D next month or two. Just bought the x4 RAM on backorder. ( have the CASE, MOBO and now RAM off the list )

Researching AMD processors for x570 chipset for gaming PC ( Ryzen 5800X3D vs. Ryzen 5950x )

I did pick up the x570s Aorus Master chipset, which does allow for PBO. Not sure if I will OC right outta the box. Maybe start with the AIR cooling option and run some stress test. If I really want to push it, I'll look at AIO's.

Noctua industrial NF-A14 fan for exhaust preferably ( yes, no and maybe so )?

Question: I want the "best" exhaust 140mm fan available for heat removal in a Fractal Design Torrent case. I have been researching Noctuas industrial NF-A14s and yes the noise levels can be high due to the 3-phase motor, but.. that means more air being pulled out. Just want to see if anyone has...

Researching AMD processors for x570 chipset for gaming PC ( Ryzen 5800X3D vs. Ryzen 5950x )

Thanks for the input. Yes, I'm still researching different BIG AIR cooling brands and there pros and cons. The Fractal Torrent is purposed for air cooling. The AIO mounts are not ideal since you cant mount a top AIO. The front / bottom seem like a ticking time bomb when talking about AIO's.

Researching AMD processors for x570 chipset for gaming PC ( Ryzen 5800X3D vs. Ryzen 5950x )

How are the thermals on the x5950? I will be going with BIG AIR coolers instead of AIO's since I have a Fractal Design Torrent case. Want to utilize air cooling if I can help it. Heard the x5950 gets pretty hot under high load. Please advise.

Fractal Design Torrent (thinking about an air cooling only build) but want to know what air cooler has the best thermals for this model) ?

Have a Fractal Design Torrent case and want to use air cooling if possible. What air coolers do you recommend for Ryzen 5800X3D or 5950X? I have the x570 chipset. Thanks,

Yes, I'm watching a video that's stating the Cuda has a cache problem if overheated. Need to monitor that kind of traffic. In my past IT jobs, I've witness Seagate drives failing left and right, but WD always worked for me.

Already watch it lol. That's why I'm contemplating the 3D, but I got to slap myself and look at the bigger picture.. Will Star Citizen use a lot of cache early on and once optimized will it be obsolete? I keep projecting my mind to the future and it keeps saying get the higher core/thread...

I do a lot of 1440p resolution gaming. Never dip into 1080p anymore. So the 5900x would be better for those resolutions? I need to start researching the 5900x then if that's the case. Please verify. Thanks,

I'm not a content creator or have any heavy workloads that require the cores. But, are games leaning towards cache or cores? For instance, some games utilize cache in there coding more than others.. but it could flip flop one day and It could utilize cores more than cache... AHHHHH decisions..

Does clean energy really matter that much from GOLD - TITANIUM? Does it soak up a lot of grid power? Will the energy bill go up or is it all a marketing ploy with minimal differences? Cause Gold is much cheaper.

FTW3 is the one I have on Newegg that I am been monitoring for any price drops or changes. GPU will probably be my last part for the build. Shooting for the fall season unless prices drop even more than they are now.
