... Aaaaand after some months of it working properly, it failed again today. Given that Gigabyte still offers no fix, I guess my best option at this point is to trash that piece of electronic junk and buy another brand/model.
Regarding the cold boot bug: I had that bug without even using Windows - I was using Linux (Devuan) when it happened, and I never used suspend/hibernate. So I wouldn't relate that bug to any of those factors.
I read WaltC's comment about this earlier today, so I tested by unplugging my main monitor (using a DP cable), leaving only my Cintiq on DVI. Didn't change anything to my startup issue. Following another suggestion, I also tried unplugging all fans (except the CPU one): does nothing. So I hope...
Yes, but that would be useless, as they themselves don't seem to understand where the issue comes from.
I'm pretty sure the CMOS battery bug is directly related to what I'm experiencing when cold booting with ErP on (that is, only the first cold boot works, not any subsequent one). Maybe I'll...
Aaaand the infamous CMOS battery bug hit me again this morning, with BIOS version F21. This is getting very tiresome, and I start to believe 360€ makes it little more than an overpriced toy.
Just to be clear: that's obviously not the "no power" issue playing there (I had that no-power issue, and that's what forced me to turn ErP mode on). It is the ErP mode itself causing that click-no-turnon. Bit somehow I can't help thinking both are linked to some sort of design flaw in the...
Interesting. That would be a rather peculiar issue for sure. The only thing I can think about is trying a different configuration in the power distribution cables, especially the PCI-Ex GPU feeders. Otherwise, I see no other option. Given that the exact same PSU worked well with my previous...
But then I do not understand why the overcurrent protection trips when the computer is turned off, then back on, without unplugging the power cord. The inrush current would be the same regardless when the cord is un/replugged or not before turning the on again.
I too got into the same issue, with the F20 BIOS version.
I saw that something fishy happened some days ago. I'm using a Corsair K95 RGB keyboard, and it started behaving strangely, switching randomly between led patterns when in use. At first I suspected the keyboard, so I exchanged it with...
