How do you do it ? Nvidia control panel doubles the bandwidth, making it impossible, and, CRU adds it, but, when I click apply on the CP nothing happens. (sorry for spam... been looking forward to a reply from someone...now impatiently haha)

Have any of You tested USB-C adapters like these ? Or, USB-C to VGA adapters in general.

Also, would DP or HDMI to USB-C and then to VGA work ?
I noticed ghosting in the last few days on my FW900. I don't remember seeing ghosting on any other CRT monitor or TV I've ever owned, so, it seems weird. I thought maybe refresh rate worked differently here, so, I matched the framerate to the refresh rate, but, when I move the camera, there is...
I also found the same adapter on staples in aliexpress for 8-9 euros. I'm gonna ask them too.
Update : Nvm, this one writes in their description that it's max 1920x1200 for VGA and DVI.
Makes sense. Although, I remember watching a video that tested the response time of the VA monitor in depth before buying it, and, the response time from lowest to highest was similar, and, even a bit lower than the IPS monitor I had before it, yet, the difference was still there. Either way...
Ah, ok. I know that backlight strobing gets rid of the image being held after being sampled for the frame, and, before the next, but, I haven't experienced it yet on fast displays. I have a 1440p144hz VA monitor that I used for some time, and, while it felt better to play with backlight strobing...
I don't think OLED can achieve the same motion feel though. I've tried my phone's OLED screen, and OLED tv in comparison with my FW900. There's no ghosting, but, the motion has a sort of lifelike smoothness to it on CRT. As for brightness, QOLED is coming out, and, it looks to be nearly twice as...
Yes, I'm in Germany, and, no, I don't have it anymore. I'd sent it to someone who's knowledgeable with Sony CRTs, but, the tube didn't survive the overvoltage, and, neither the voltage regulator. He sold it for me to someone who payed 200 or 300.
Well, my reason is that I don't want to change the resolution to something other than 16:10 or 16:9 because I want to use the native resolution of whatever video is playing on screen.
I noticed today that circles aren't entirely round at 16:10 resolutions. I stretch the image as close to the size of the screen as possible, but, it seems that the screen itself is not exactly 16:10.
Do any of you happen to know what aspect ratio is exactly ?
Edit : I'm speaking of the FW900.
Looks like setting a custom resolution on nvidia's control panel, and keeping a lower resolution on the timing's options works well. 2560x1600 and 3840x2400 downsampled to 1920x1200 looks great in game. In 2D content though, there is a difference, but, not so much.
Downsampling seems paradoxical to me... how does 3840x2160 sampled down to 2304x1440 look better than native ?
And, is there a program I could use to run games with downsampling ?
Since I'm losing refresh rate with the bug-free converter, it would be nice to run a game at 2560x1440 downsampled...
You mean upscaling ? If it is so, then, it's working very well (looks great)... I wonder what method they're using, because, as far as I can tell, Nvidia's DSR doesn't look as good, unless it's at 4x.
Btw, I have both the delock displayport to vga converter, and the splitter that goes above 375mhz, and, today, after getting somewhat fed up with the bugs of the splitter, I decided to try the other one and see if there's a difference to the image, besides the bugs.
I think I notice that the...
I'm gonna slowly dip my toe into beggining the process that'll eventually get me to colour correct my FW900, and, also correct the G2 voltage when needed.
So, my first questions are, will a virtual windows xp computer work ? Does the colorimeter need to be a specific one ? And, where can I find...
