I used to smoke, and my pc was gross. Especialy with pets, carpet, etc.. Now I just smoke pot and my PC is fine. I blow it out once a month or two or three and its fine. Tidy house keeping habits make more of a diffference imo.
I only use NVMe now. No 2.5 SSD or spinners running anymore, though I do have a bunch. I have backups of files that are important to me, outside of that, whatever I have stored right now on NVMe is expendable.
On the EVO the T30 slides right in, on the SE you have to pull the towers apart, plus you wont be using the stock clips unless you squeeze them on with a screwdriver or something.. and then have fun getting them off lol. I used FC140 clips on the SE and T30 combo.
I think the EVO looks better than the SE obviously.. but I like the fact that I can drop in my T30 no problem while using the stock clips. Try that on the SE. I saw the HWC review, and I do not agree with a few things they had to say, but I am not a reviewer so.. just another voice in the crowd...
The SE actually came out first for some strange reason. It is ok if you are space constrained I guess. I prefer the taller version, that way the fan that sits on my Tridents is flush with the top of the cooler. With the SE if you use the front fan, there is like a 1/4" gap between the top of the...
For what its worth, both FC140 and PS120SE and EVO can take 260w from my 5900X. Not using stock fans though.. Both can run my 5800X3D semi passively, and up to 180w ppt on my 5900X semi passively. I do not have FS140, but I still have a hard time believing it is better than the coolers that...
I don't use spinners anymore. I have a few hundred GB of data that is somewhat important to me, outside of that the rest is space for games. I do have a spinner in my system, it is no cables to and from it though. It has my music, family pics, and some vids. I should update it sometime. But I...
4080 here in Canada is 1700 to get you in the door, plus tax, so call it 2 grand.. they will not be popping up on the used market here like in previous years.
Auzentech made a really good card. I had their Prelude, a 7.1 card iirc. I use Mirage, NAD, and Monitor Audio, and that card fit right in. Mine did die unfortunately. Was sad to see them go as a company.
Right?
And the google store is no different. Like the microsoft store, or the sony store. And all the other fucking stores lol.
Walled gardens, all of them.
I might get a 4080. My 4070Ti was dirt cheap when I bought it, but a little more hp for 4K would do me well.
The buy it now prices on ebay are way more than what I paid for mine during a big Amazon sale last summer.
I bought a game on Steam years ago while it was still in development. They promised all of the DLC to come, all the extras for those who bought early.
It didn't pan out that way at all for me. I did not complain as I should have, I just let it go and gave them 0 support going forward.
The way I look at that is:
It is ok to overclock using PBO. You wont hurt the CPU as long as you do not enable a static clock. Let it boost on its own with its socket limited power limits. Which would still be in the 300-400w+ range anyways just because of the core counts. Boost override will...
