Was just a couple days for me. Was really confused when I setup delivery point from random email. I never got any notifications the deliveries had arrived and had to phone to check they'd arrived.
In UK and was delivered to a DPD collection point.
Same here, i've found my 1060 and CPU fans get quite loud when playing any games, but i've never had any issues with temperatures on my setup here (https://hardforum.com/threads/sentry-console-sized-gaming-pc-case-project.1832126/page-95#post-1043037703)
I have been thinking about such a panel. I would find it useful to access the m.2 slot. But I'm not sure if manufacturers have a different placement. Or is thinking and plan to make it a large enough panel to work regardless of placement?
Only just discovered this thread after seeing your tweet.
I like the planned changes. Would now not be a good time to email previous customers/backers and ask for experience and feedback? Or do you feel to already have enough planned?
It was myself who had the issue with the riser and Gigabyte reinforced slot. My post is here with description and photos: https://hardforum.com/threads/sentry-console-sized-gaming-pc-case-project.1832126/page-95#post-1043037703
It sounds like a slightly different issue to what I had. I couldn't...
Thinking about this... You could make some grooves or rounded areas and drill holes to allow normal feet to be installed like with the feet option on the actual case?
Not sure if explaining it well via text on my phone. But maybe have 4 feet spots on the stand which are rounded and allow feet...
I really wanted to go with a 1700X when i got my Sentry case, but they still did not have any good motherboards available earlier in the year.
Next Zen/Ryzen chips might be much closer to release once we get our Ghost's :)
I've never used AIO or water/liquid cooling and the flexibility of the tubing might be a concern with the Ghost case. My concern would be if i bought the H100i or X52 and found the tubing to be very firm and difficult to route into the tophat. Are all the AIO solutions you have used in the lab...
I was thinking about this, Louqe could offer a tophat which could be used to elevate and make it raised/elevated at the front and rear of the case. Then could have mounting for fans or 2.5" drives underneath.
Yeah do this. I noticed the backer number for the original backer special has changed from 133 to 132. Plus I'm sure when it was live, it showed about 200 or 250 available I think. Always worth just asking them :)
I was thinking about this one Pachalski - a joiner/joining top hat could be setup with grills at front and rear of the hat to exhaust hot air from case below. Could be tall enough to fit fans and push air out of case below. But could have angled panel from center upwards and outwards to funnel...
I would love the option of joiner hats. Personally i would put a much lower spec machine in lower case and main rig at top of the stack. Would be so small, neat and tidy compared to having multiple seperate cases
I was thinking about this. I backed and got a Sentry case from SaperPL & ZombiPL. In their thread some people have used foam to create a funnel for GPU or CPU fans up to the grills on the case. Maybe with the side grills something like this would help the non-blower style cards.
It's now at 75% and still not even a full day.
I hope it now doesn't simply stop like the original campaign and that JayzTwoCents's video gets some new folk to back it.
Louqe have replied to someone's question in the KS comment section with the following:
"There are many add-ons in the pipeline, glass side panels, handle TopHat, ODD TopHat, I/O TopHat, carrying cases, joiner Hats etc... first we need to get the platform out, then many options will be available...
I seem to think Pachalski might have mentioned top hat would be offered to backers at the end of the campaign so that you can order 1 or more than 1. So you might get a chance to add one later :)
From what I've seen, 68mm is going to be big, 57mm is listed against the largest top hat. Unless there could be enough room if the large top hat was fitting below the case and there was a bit of room at the bottom. The main site says:
"WATER COOLING
240 mm AIO radiator thickness 31.5 mm, 2 x 25...
I'm subscribed to the YouTube channel. Nice to see more videos being uploaded and would be great if any upcoming test rigs were uploaded to see the different configurations in video :)
Technically, the size listed for the large tophat would suggest it is big enough to fit this. You could place the tophat above or below the udpated case design i believe. And with the tubing being horizontal this might fit.
"The L TopHat extends your GHOST S1 height with 57 mm making room for...
I only just bought my 7700, setup in May to install in my Sentry, so I'm not interested in upgrading anytime soon. It's clear Intel are having to release so much new kit so quickly because of AMD.
I hope AMD keep pushing as that clearly pushes Intel into action and it all improves our choices (y)
Haha. I'm sure I saw a picture from SaperPL and ZombiPL showing small single AIO fitting in alongside a short GPU. I really want to try a large AIO and if I get enough courage might try to see if I could mount it on the outside of the case.
When I was building I had problems getting the riser into the motherboard and had to file some of the sides down a bit.
All I can suggest is take the case riser bar/support and screws out again. Maybe bend the PCIe extension slot and cable down a bit then re-fit it.
The manual Saper linked to...
Not sure if you can see from my build and photos (https://hardforum.com/threads/sentry-console-sized-gaming-pc-case-project.1832126/page-95#post-1043037703), but from this angle it might help: https://hardforum.com/attachments/05-fixed-jpg.26699/
