I run a 5950X with 64GB at 3866 with the cpu boosting around 5G all core. (excessive watercooling involved) With a Merc 310 7900XTX and i am playing on 1440P with all options at max including ray tracing and the only glitches i see are sudden cut scene executions taking a moment to engage...
I clicked this to see some of your comments. I havn't even watched the trailers.. nor will I even go to the theater to care. TLJ taught me that I don't care what Disney thinks about Star Wars.
So if the user is a teenager quitting his grocery store job for extra money above his allowance so he can play videogames on mommy's dime. Sure live it up while you can.
The rest of us like things like housing and food and cloths. Yes you can study up for wilderness training and go all...
You realize the exact same thing was said about digital modems in phones instead of analog. Oh less range not as good of signal, I'll never give up my Motorola Razor.
I have twin X5690's with 96GB of ECC 1333 and a Vega Frontier all in a MacPro from 2009. NVME 1TB drive 3 512GB ssd's and a 5TB spindle with a USB3.1/C card.
The question is interesting. What is yours? What quantifies as a PC? My parents purchased a Sears Intellivision and an Atari 2600 and an NES are they PC's? Most of us would say no but.. is that really true? Anyway lets move to what we would more traditionally call a PC. My parents...
I was considering a Navi before the launch. However, I don't feel its worth it. I have twin Vega Frontier 16gb. I'll keep hanging on until the replacement for Vega VII happens.
PCIe 5.0 is in beta spec mode atm. As is the norm when a spec finally goes to market. PCIe 4.0 is now set. The only thing missing for me on the X570 is DDR5 support which I figured would be done by now. But hey other than that it works. I am just going to buy a CPU though and drop it in my...
Lapping a IHS is not the same as Delid. Where are you coming from exactly?
Regardless I disagree with that as well. If a properly delided Intel from many of the series that Intel did a horrible job with the under IHS compound job was already done and the cpu was validated as fully functional...
higher-end staffs and the big wigs that do nothing more than use Outlook but want the computer to 'look nice' for when VIP's are escorted past the front-office staffers.
I see this at my office. Only people with Mac's are those exact people.
While I think it looks great. The short NVME and only 2 slots for the entire storage capacity? The selections and specs seem odd but I do understand this design started quite some time ago so intel was sharing with Apple what they "would" be making in the future. It seems so end of generation...
Industry insiders are showing even after a year Intel not catching up for up to 5 years. If that turns out to actually be true. This could be like the Core era was for Intel but instead for AMD. Centrino, Core , Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, I7 was where Intel dug out from AMD and destroyed them...
Ah, I see it supports 128GB via the new 32GB single sticks. I wonder what the old boards will do since the 3000 can run on X370 and X470 if suddenly the new memory controller with bios updates will change the ram support.
Sure but people that started say 5 years ago don't know what original vanilla was like in Wow. They think everything's broken. So it's funny to see them saying it's too hard. I get it though. I left wow and moved on to FFXIV.
I'm going to wait for the 16Core release the 8 core and 4 core chiplets isn't what I want. I want the 8 and 8 core chiplets. It will happen. Note I am running 64GB of DDR4 on a 2700X(4300mhz) ram at 3000mhz. I have not heard if the new CPU can support more or not?
Ours in Michigan are heat sensors pointed down from polls on the coners of the street with sheilds around the front. They look like camera's kinda but they are just giant heat sensors for traffic red light control. Gets green to come up much faster especially late with no one around.
That shorting yellow light times comment above is accurate. My city did it and caused many deaths and got sued. We dropped the redlight system and increased the yellow by a full second from the original yellow time and now our accident counts are FAR lower.
When I switched from my 3 27's I moved to a 34 Inch Ultrawide LG. Its the same height physically as my old 27's and I moved up to 1440. When switching make sure to ponder the vertical realaestate volume. Also, any increase in rez may require using features in windows such as large text mode.
Yea for something your watching news or sports constantly with markers on the same point of the screen I would just go simple cheap LED TV. No real worry if it happens to one of them in a few years they are dirt cheap anyway.
I continuously sold my old cards back out. My 1st system of any kind was an Apple 2C, Then a Packard Bell Pentium 75 with aforementioned Cirrus logic 5430 PCI on the motherboard. I added an S3 Virge 325 2MB and later added a Canopus Pure 3D 6MB which blew all my buddies away because it could...
On a side note. What was everyone's 1st Dedicated Graphics Chip? Cirrus Logic 5430 PCI 1MB upgraded to 2MB. omg... I know! (of course, this discounts the Apple 2C's 65C02 as it wasn't dedicated to graphics.)
I'm still running my Twin Frontier's will wait for the 2nd Gen after Navi. Everything runs tip top right now and I have them both on water. I heard EK just made a new waterblock for you guys.
Intel’s 3-8% improvements marketed as new “Generations” of processors is what allowed AMD back into the game. I now wonder if ARM will have any say about this market. Time will tell.
Intel has never had stellar driver support. Especially in the video cards or integrated video card side. So I have zero faith that even if the product works that it would get proper driver support. Has anyone suddenly heard about Intel hiring AMD/Nvidia Videocard driver personnel away?
