    Routers with multiple 2.5gb ports?

Stumbled onto this thread as I'm looking at the same issue. I just upgraded to Comcast 1200 service, and all of my infrastructure is for 1Gb max. I'm pulling a solid 940mb/sec, but looking to upgrade. Why do routers have 2.5Gb WAN ports but not LAN ports? I guess I could use the XB7 as the...

After 2 months of trying, I was finally able to snag a 3080 FE off of Best Buy this morning.

    I Bought a RTX 3080 Today!

Needs to be an option for "maybe". Have two pre-orders in the hopper (Amazon.de and Adorama), so I don't know if I have one or not.

    LG 48CX

Looks like GAINWARD branded 3090s and 3080s were posted to their website too early, and subsequently removed. Screengrabs were captured however. Confirmed HDMI 2.1 on both. Interestingly enough though is that the listing for the 3080 states 2 8-pin connectors for the power requirement...

Sorry if this has been answered before, but how to I rename/change the input label to PC?

    LG 48CX

Standard Best Buy language for when they are out of stock. There would be red lettering under the description if they were discontinuing the sale of the item. On another note...as soon as I decided it was time to pull the trigger, Best Buy sold out...lol

    LG 48CX

So, what is the consensus on using this as a PC monitor? I believe LG had a Nvidia hooked up to the TV during the January CES, and the 48" model is being aimed and marketed towards the PC gaming crowd. I've always owned either IPS or VA panels in the past, and everything I've read about...

    2018 TCL Televisions from CES

Nice...one of my old threads. I actually picked up the 43S525 back in 2018, and I'm still using it today. I didn't see any update from this year's CES regarding a new 5 series replacement for monitor use. Did anyone get info on what may be coming this year for that purpose?

Achieva Shimian QH270| $400 IPS 2560x1440 Korean Monitor

I still have two one them! One actively used in portrait mode next to my 43" 4k TCL, and one in the closet as a spare. Bought them each for about $215 or so...I think I've gotten pretty good value out of them. :)

I guess it's what bothers you then. I don't notice it at all when I game or watch movies on it. Maybe I'm just not that sensitive as I don't notice PWM flicker either. About the only thing that drives me up the wall are banding issues.

    2018 TCL 43s515 43" 4k TV with dolby vision for $350.

Spent about a week with the television, and I'm liking it more the longer I have it. Luckily I have no dead pixels, and no clouding or banding issues which seem to have been plaguing the 6 series. Decided to do a lag test. TCL is on the left (HDMI3 port, game mode), Achieva Shimian on the...

    2018 TCL 43s515 43" 4k TV with dolby vision for $350.

I decided to pick one up, and it just arrived last night. So far I've only had about an hour of play time with it, so I can't really give too detailed of answers yet. I also did not have the 43S405, but I'm comparing it to a Wasabi UHD400 I picked up a couple of years ago. For the hour I...

Best 40+ Inch 4K Monitor for Gaming?

Wow, you're right. Wondering if stock is getting low now. The SC2 hybrid version I bought is now $50 more expensive.

Ditch 1070 and wait for Volta?

Purchased my 1080ti a few weeks ago directly from EVGA. If your persistent and watch the website like a hawk, you can still get cards for MSRP. Flipped my 1070 to a 1080 to a 1080ti over the past 6 weeks or so that way.

    astronomical GPU prices?

These prices have been hell for most gamers, but I've actually benefited from it. Went from a 1070 to a 1080 to a 1080 ti hybrid for around $110 total over the past two months just by buying at MSRP and selling the previous cards on Ebay.

Why are Founder's Editions selling for so much?

I guess in hindsight that may have been true. I did do a historical search on all of the "sold" listings of my card, and none of them had exceeded $425 BIN. Thought I was actually kind of pushing it at $440. Anyway, I pretty much upgraded my 1070 to 1080 on the cheap, so I'm not really...

Why are Founder's Editions selling for so much?

Picked up a EVGA 1080 on sale for $499 from NewEgg during a holiday sale a few weeks ago. I put my 1070 up on Ebay for $440 BIN, to test the waters. It sold in less than 8 hours. It was $60-$70 *more* than what I paid for it originally.

    2018 TCL Televisions from CES

AVS Forum just had a writeup on the 2018 TCL lineup announced at CES. http://www.avsforum.com/tcl-lcd-tvs-ces-2018/ From that write up, it looks like they will offer up a 43" 5 series with HDR, Dolby, and wide gamut color. No mention of how many nits for HDR, but they're also pitching auto...

    Current 43" 4K options?

So, I still have my Wasabi Mango UHD400 (https://hardforum.com/threads/wasabi-mango-uhd400-40-4k-display.1896921/). It is still an awesome monitor, but the only thing lacking is HDR. Any recommendations for a 40-43" television which has HDR and still serves as a great computer monitor? I'm...

    Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display

It's odd that so many people have experienced hot bezels. Mine has been cool to the touch since day one. Good to see these panels winding up in the hands of so many though. It really has been an excellent monitor so far.

We posted screencaps in post# 69, 74, and 78 in this thread. In terms of the picture I posted, I fully disclose though that I only had my cell phone camera handy. The comparison monitor in my snapshot is an Achieva Shimian 1440p monitor without a scalar board (DVI-D input only).

    Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display

I'm not sure that test by Jann is indicative of all of these monitors. There were 2 or 3 of us in this thread who posted lag screenshots around the 30ms range. There are many people in this thread which have also posted that they perceive no lag when playing games (myself included). Granted...

    Wasabi Mango Zen U400

Can't speak to the Zen, but I'm very happy with my UHD400. Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display As I mentioned a bit earlier, the Zen and the UHD400 seem very similar. For lack of better terminology, to me the Zen seems more like a "television", while the UHD400 seems more like a "monitor"...

    Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display

First off, thank you for taking the time to post your results. 34ms does seem high for a panel which seems to be marketed more as a monitor than a television. As a TV, 34ms would definitely be middle of the road (at least compared to other models tested on rtings. That being said, you've...

    Wasabi Mango Zen U400

I saw the reference in my other thread about the Zen. Seems brand new. From a quick glimpse between the two listings, it looks like the Zen is missing DP, but has component inputs. The Zen listing also states IPS as a "feature" but then states it's a Samsung PVA panel. No mention of Freesync...

    Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display

You're correct. I was trying to do quick math in my head. Really no reason to be snarky to people trying to help you. I've tried both a 2.0 HDMI cable and a DP cable. No difference to me on perceived framerate. The only difference I noticed is that the Nvidia control panel would only...

    Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display

How "prehistoric" is your card? It may just be that your card can't push 3840x2160 without serious dips if framerate. 4k is about 2.7x the pixels of a 1440p monitor. I'm running with a 970 and can still see serious dips in fps on some games. Or are you playing at a lower resolution?

    Wasabi Mango UHD400 40" 4k Display

Strange, I haven't seen any other complaints about lag on this monitor. Have you tried a different DP cable? I'm using a 15' cable from Amazon instead of the included cable. Have you verified that you're running at 60Hz instead of 30? Edit: I double checked and PC Menu is also greyed out on...
