If reviews on the 12 core look good, it will very likely replace my 5820k. Will be interesting to see how it does heat wise with a much smaller heatspreader than threadripper.
The comparison to the TV market isn't really practical since the volume and consumer base for TVs vs. gaming monitors is so different. Now if more TVs start supporting higher framerates, suddenly those two product segment will have much larger overlap.
I don't think thats the obvious takeaway, but to each their own. Perhaps the game you asked them to go back to wasn't as fun. If they aren't enjoying the game they are playing it is usually pretty clear for the stream, and makes the entire experience worse. Or maybe their...
Did you mean to say Respawn, because if so I don't really follow your logic. They recently launched a massive hit of a game, and while we don't know what the lootbox revenue has been like, I imagine its not bad. Why would they be facing the EA chopping block?
Excellent review as always from [H].
I think the thing that makes this card interesting as a product is it seems to only exist because NVIDIA's behavior with 2000 series in regards to price. If the RTX 2080 was launched at $550 or $600, we may not have ever gotten the Radeon VII. At $700 AMD...
Basic product and price segmentation is a good business practice. They are simplifying processes to cut expenses, and at the same time capturing more total purchases at different pricing. There are consumers who would not be customers at the full price, but they are able to capture them at a...
This makes a total of 4 maps. Erengel (the original large 8x8 map), Miramar (second map, large 8x8 desert map), Sanhok (small 4x4 jungle map), and Vikendi (medium, 6x6 snow map).
Honestly they did a great job with Vikendi as far as map design goes. I don't like that Level 3 helmets are a world...
This seems like it's for the boring suburbanite guy who makes a good living, and things he can buy his way into being an interesting person. Their press release is laughable, using words like craft and mentioning the ENTIRE FIVE BEERS they offer, which look like a basic bitch starter pack of...
Hmmm, a company that went private spends enough to actually be able to prevent shit like this, while countless massive public companies have had breaches, probably because they think of IT as only an expense.
Wow, so I can pay $1200 to have worse performance at 1440p with raytracing at LOW than my $700 1080 Ti without any RT tech, in a largely online competitive game. IT JUST WORKS (n), what a fucking joke, sucks to be the early adopters who got suckered by this BS.
Nice, I've been thinking of rebuilding our little ITX HTPC as the Athlon 5350 in there now is feeling a bit slow. Not sure if this is really worth considering versus a 2200G, big difference in GPU capability.
It seems like every time a game releases with Vulkan support it performs absolutely stunningly, even on mid level hardware (Doom!). I really wish more devs would utilize Vulkan.
Wow, I was hoping to see that the 2950x would be able to stretch it's legs on PB2 on air, and it does! Now the question is whether I can really justify the 2950x for $250 more than the 2920x when that launches (with slightly higher boost). Honestly though, that air cooler is an absolute monster...
Okay, so these two creators have been hit with monetization issues, just like a lot of other creators either through direct demonetization or through pay/view going down. That has been an issue for a while now, and I don't think it's reasonable to say it's due to "shutting down their...
Have you met humans? I wouldn't have thought someone would be stupid enough to make a small trinket that tricks Tesla's autopilot nanny system, and yet here we are.
And I work in the private sector, and see stupidity, lazyness, and bad decisions as well. Perhaps the common factor isn't public vs. private, but people.
So they broke export compliance laws, were fined and told to take action against the offending employees, and then were found to have not taken those actions. Why the fuck are we giving them a break on this? Commander in Cheetos making this country look weak yet again.
Wow, XFR2/PB2 really came good. I remember them hyping the original XFR as this amazing dynamic boost system, and it ended up being a few extra hundred mhz in a really non dynamic way, glad they got it right this time.
Intel has to be worried, comparing 8700k to 2700x really does make AMD look...
I think these comments are coming because of the premise of the situation, not because "the EA is strong in here". A free to play weekend for less serious games makes complete sense, a free to play weekend for ARMA makes no fucking sense at all, and that is coming form someone who burned many...
This is funny, prior I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 foot pole. I might actually try it for the new Twisted Metal BR mode, if nothing else than to just give it a whirl.
