Just got one and it's pretty baller. It's a huge improvement over the h100i in terms of temps and noise. I'm seeing almost 20c lower temps during streaming+gaming and it's so much quieter.

From personal experience, there's no way I'd recommend a high core count xeon for gaming. My e5 2660v2 really holds back my 1070.

If you have the cash then now is probably a decent time to upgrade. Zen is a ways off and I don't think kaby will offer much to gamers

What CPU and resolution and frame rate?

I actually switched out my 10 core Xeon because it was holding back my 1070 in bf1 at 1440p. The 3930k I dropped in worked well for just gaming, but didn't work well streaming plus gaming so I picked up a 5960x. I can run some tests when it gets here if anyone is curious

Linus also tested at 4k and didn't bench multiplayer iirc. Mp in all battlefield games is a whole different beast than single player.

I'd honestly just hold out for skylake at this point. I dont think the 5930k is going to offer you much benefit.

Honestly if you're just doing light gaming, that 3930k is still perfectly fine
