Same experience for me in the few days I had my 240Hz Alienware. Every game I played was around ~120 FPS (with ultra settings/ray tracing where possible) so I was wondering what the point of downsizing from 120Hz 48" to 240Hz 32" was. I'm guessing this will change though with the 5090.

Does anyone know if dimming/ABSL issues were fixed in C3/C4? I hear mixed reports that a firmware update mostly fixed it. There is a "workaround" that was posted on youtube, but it doesn't look practical (puts your screen in factory mode permanently, seems like a giant PITA).

Sorry should have specified I'm in the UK :). Where all the 240hz OLEDs are £1400 for some reason (except the Alienware, but I don't want a curved screen). 42" C3 is 800-900 here, and cheaper on sale which happens fairly often (700 or less).

I bought an RX 6900XT because I was getting sick of nvidia driver issues on Linux. Only to discover the HDMI 2.1 spec doesn't allow open source drivers (amd on linux) to implement it. So imagine my surprise when I can only get 4:2:0 at 120hz. So, so dumb. Why is this a thing. :mad:

Glad you figured it out. Yeah windows is really idiotic and disables suspend/sleep if it thinks you have a gaming peripheral like a game pad plugged in. It’s so stupid. I learned the hard way as well as I like to keep my gamepads plugged in.

Yeah looks really close to me. You need a deeper desk I think. At minimum, get an after market stand, you should be able to push it towards the end of your desk that way. I have an 80cm deep desk, with an aftermarket stand so it's about 70cm from me and I find this works well for mouse+kb. But...
