    Gateway 14.1 and 15.6 1080p notebooks for $99 and $139

I have good memories of that phonebook. Bought a lot of good stuff out of it but also a lot of junk. That was the wild west.

Don’t remember the models but what everyone had back then Motorola Razr v3 Can’t remember what came between here iPhone 3G Motorola Atrix Galaxy S4...

Digitaltrends Top 6 Nvidia Cards of All Time List. Agree or disagree?

Fully agree with the 8800GTX. Coming to that from a 7900 GT, I don’t think I ever had such a quantum leap in gaming ability from a one-generation upgrade before or since. Closest would be going from an ATi Rage Pro to a GeForce 2 Ultra, but those were very early generation cards. The others are...

Rare Apple-1 Computer Signed by Steve Wozniak Up for Auction

Didn’t have an Apple-1, but definitely did have that Panasonic tape recorder when I was a kid. In fact I think everyone I knew had that tape recorder.

Stoked. For really no reason. I don’t have a gaming use case for this thing at all, it’s just cool.

Google replaced the White Noise on Nest speakers so people can't sleep

Somewhere along the line someone confused white noise generators with white trash generators, then it was turtles all the way down after that. A bitch of a sitch!

Google replaced the White Noise on Nest speakers so people can't sleep

Getting some asleep assistance via background sounds was why the universe invented Bob Ross. I had 75% of everything he ever did downloaded a decade before it became available on YouTube, for that reason.

Good news! I switched to Big Picture exactly once, fooled around a bit with a confused look on my face, and switched it back immediately. Glad the Deck UI will be more like a variation of the regular Steam UI.

    RTX 30 Laptops

Looks like a nice one. Wish I had your CPU but wasn’t an option with AW at the time I bought. Having fully moved to mobile pc gaming due to life in the last year, I’m really impressed with the mobile 3080 performance. It’s somewhere around 2080 Super/3070-ish performance in a reasonably sized...

    RTX A2000 announced - fastest low-profile GPU

Is there really that much demand for SFF design workstations? I mean, I guess there is or NV wouldn’t make these, and if nothing else NV knows their marketing. My question just comes from the fact that I’ve never seen anyone use one. All the designers I’ve worked with that had a need for Quadro...

Beware of Exploding Gigabyte PSU's being Dumped by Newegg in Forced Bundles

For me, this as well. I haven’t bought a non-Seasonic PSU in the better part of the decade. Not that there aren’t probably units that are just as good depending on the model, but I have never had one of these fail on me, and the oldest still running is 11 years old now.

Steam Deck officially announced by Valve

That would be amazing. I normally “wait and see” with this type of thing, but these ideas have me abnormally excited. I was 10:04 order time and my availability says December 2021 now as well. Seems like about 5 min after open was the cutoff time for December availability.

240W Extended Power Range USB C

“...you could theoretically charge an full-fat Alienware m17 gaming laptop over USB-C” Nope. Not till we get 330W USB-C. The Verge’s lack of basic research remains amusing. I would love this as well. I don’t see us getting away from the 3 lb power bricks for high performance laptops anytime...
