I keep phones for a long time, so here’s them all, smart or not:
Uniden CP4600 (mid ‘90s)
Uniden PCD2000 (late ‘90s)
A few Nokia candy bar phones. Don’t remember the models but what everyone had back then
Motorola Razr v3
Can’t remember what came between here
iPhone 3G
Motorola Atrix
Galaxy S4...
Fully agree with the 8800GTX. Coming to that from a 7900 GT, I don’t think I ever had such a quantum leap in gaming ability from a one-generation upgrade before or since. Closest would be going from an ATi Rage Pro to a GeForce 2 Ultra, but those were very early generation cards.
The others are...
Somewhere along the line someone confused white noise generators with white trash generators, then it was turtles all the way down after that. A bitch of a sitch!
Getting some asleep assistance via background sounds was why the universe invented Bob Ross. I had 75% of everything he ever did downloaded a decade before it became available on YouTube, for that reason.
Good news! I switched to Big Picture exactly once, fooled around a bit with a confused look on my face, and switched it back immediately. Glad the Deck UI will be more like a variation of the regular Steam UI.
Looks like a nice one. Wish I had your CPU but wasn’t an option with AW at the time I bought. Having fully moved to mobile pc gaming due to life in the last year, I’m really impressed with the mobile 3080 performance. It’s somewhere around 2080 Super/3070-ish performance in a reasonably sized...
Is there really that much demand for SFF design workstations? I mean, I guess there is or NV wouldn’t make these, and if nothing else NV knows their marketing. My question just comes from the fact that I’ve never seen anyone use one. All the designers I’ve worked with that had a need for Quadro...
For me, this as well. I haven’t bought a non-Seasonic PSU in the better part of the decade. Not that there aren’t probably units that are just as good depending on the model, but I have never had one of these fail on me, and the oldest still running is 11 years old now.
That would be amazing. I normally “wait and see” with this type of thing, but these ideas have me abnormally excited.
I was 10:04 order time and my availability says December 2021 now as well. Seems like about 5 min after open was the cutoff time for December availability.
My order for a 512 went through at 12:04 Central, or 4 min after it opened, and still just says Reserved on Fri, July 16th with no expected date. Hope that’s a good thing.

Interesting to see some numbers. Not as many as I would have thought. I’m in for a 512.
Nice rig! If that’s your computer audio I’d love to see your home audio!
I’ve always loved KEF as well but my last ones were 104/2s from 1989. My audio-fu has grown weak.
Congrats on a great deal! If I had had my choice of aspect ratio I’d have also gone with 16:10 all else being equal. Seems pretty rare with gaming laptops.
There were no rolling blackouts in Texas last week. There wasn’t even a chance of it. There was an OCN, the equivalent of which happens in all three Interconnections many times every year.
Graphical display hardware supported by Facebook, a company that makes he bulk of its income from graphical advertising… And then we attached it to our face.
I mean, we knew nothing would go wrong with that, right?
Congrats on the Facebook ad facial.
“...you could theoretically charge an full-fat Alienware m17 gaming laptop over USB-C”
Nope. Not till we get 330W USB-C. The Verge’s lack of basic research remains amusing.
I would love this as well. I don’t see us getting away from the 3 lb power bricks for high performance laptops anytime...
