I'm meeting a guy tonight to buy a "new in box" ipod touch, 4th generation. How can I tell by looking at the product and package that it is indeed a 4th generation? Anyone know the serial number or product number ranges that differentiate the generations?
I don't want to get it home, open it...
Used is fine as long as it's functional and not beat up.

Show me.
Don't want to split these up. Make me an offer.
Will trade for Nintendo DSi, Ipod Touch, cash, or some combination of any.
It's been a long time since I've sold here so my references are old, but I'm still the same honest dude.

I've never used DeepFreeze, but I'm not sure how SteadyState could be any easier  We use it on our 150 public computers that people download malware and porn on all day. Works great!
The reason my daughter can't be 'free' at age 1-18, is that she won't have enough life-experience to be able to function independently and responsibly on her own. (I realize that age 18 is arbitrary, each individual will be slightly different.)
I have a small chunk of code in Microsoft...
You believe software has become sentient and has expressed it's will to be free? THis sounds like a whole lot of word-smithing in order to justify pirating software.
If, one day, software becomes sentient in the traditional sense of the word and expresses it's desire for freedom. Then I'd...
I see your point about the case. Here's my slant.
I need something that will hold the parts and provide adequate cooling. That's it. The particular case I picked out was cheap and had decent reviews (but I didn't really take into acount the size.) I don't care what it looks like, has...
What I need is some decent video proccessing power to play games at 1280x1024 with the settings cranked up to 11 :)
On the Samsung hard drive - I'm looking more for performance over size. I have 6 Terrabytes of storage in the basement. So basically I need Win7 + Office + GameXYZ. Anything...

3) Where do you live?

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please...
It is for a non-web non-software guy like me :) I've installed Joomla and Mediawiki etc etc.. But that's all following instructions for nicely laid out packages.
Does something like this pre-exist someplace?
A mechanism similar to this page:
http://www.cdw.com/shop/search/hub.aspx?wclss=P2
where on the left you have a bunch of attributes you can select or deselect, and on the content side it gives you a list of all the pages that match that criteria.
I'm not fixated on a wiki at all. It's just where I started my search because I was building a page for each searchable item. I would like "some" users to be able to edit data, but I'm not really interested in letting all of the general public do it. If there is a better way to accomplish my...
OK, I'm building a wiki that I would like to be able to allow the user to query with a list of known attributes of the page. Big ugly sentence, I know. Let me give an example:
Lets say I build a wiki with 1000 different types of birds. A user might see a bird in his yard and wonder if he...
For 2009 Washington State code:
All inside GFCI plugs (in fact ALL plugs) have to now be "tamper resistant". They have a mechenism where you have to insert both prongs of a plug into the socket at the same time for it to open, otherwise little plastic covers prevent you from sticking things in...
Today I had a crash course in the differences between
1: GFCI Plug
2: Tamper Resistant GFCI Plug
3: Tamper Resistant Weather Resistant GFCI Plug.
Unfortunately my teacher was the electrical inspector. Ah well... Replaced them all (another $150 down the tube) and he'll be back tomorrow to...
