Yeah no worries, just get emails about new posts and it's always about the logo or changing the design completely! I want the case already no more changes! lol.
Logo design is done they said, leave it alone. They say it's done and then there's like 3-4 pages after that of people talking about what they'd prefer.
Exactly what I was thinking, How would you make the IO shield opening adjustable? Also I think the design of this case is perfect and pretty much complete, It wasn't intended to be some insane overclocking case and it seems some people are trying to push it that way?
The lower end GPU's are often rebades or tweaked previous gen GPU's, that's nothing new. And the GTX 780 and Titan are rather large improvements over the previous gen GPU's, a much larger improvement than we've seen in previous generations for quite some time.
Well, I wasn't expecting it to be ground breaking as it was only a process shrink and nothing more really. The GPU was upgraded and re-tweaked, other than that it's not that much difference as the road map didn't call for a completely new technology yet, that's the next gen.
Well the problem with putting an ATX PSU in this case is you can't put the dual 120 radiator in at that point right? Although I imagine the 450w silverstone is likely fine, the GTX 780 is more efficient than the 680, and the haswell CPU's are quite a bit more efficient as well.
No just a single GTX 780 with a 4670k, possibly overclocked but also with a water cooling setup of some sort. I guess 450w is likely enough. The Silverstone 450w that's modular looks pretty nice.
I can't decide if I want to use an M-Sata card or just a regular SSD....lol
How far off are we on the production of the case? Since it's limited run (as far as I know?) I'm going to order it as my first piece.
I do want to run watercooling, but can't decide if I want to start with the...
They all seem to be a bit cheaper over here. I'm looking at 1600 or so for a full build with a GTX 780, could get it a bit cheaper depending on amazon prices.
Personally I think the CPU's are pretty similar to SB pricing.
Well previous gen ITX boards weren't as performance oriented, and it'll be a new product. Sometimes things move up a lot in price, so I'm just hoping it's under 200 as it would make my build easier :) More money for the video card haha. I do believe it'll likely be under 200 though, but some of...
I'm really considering a SFF build for my next desktop based on a 4670k or 4770k with a GTX 780 and I'm really loving the looks of this case! And the price is pretty dang good too if you can keep it at that point.
Personally I like the etched logo.
Yeah I agree the only issue is I can't find anyone that's done or said it DOES support bitstreaming, anywhere period. Not one mention of it which makes me wonder. I don't want to drop big bucks on one of these boards and it not support it though.
Do I need to have the device driver installed to do the bios flash? When I do sasflash -list it gives me an error of no devices found. I tried to install the IBM driver but it tells me not for this system.
I think cost for cost I'd go with the Netgear NTV550 over the WD Live TV, I have a Live TV and it's pretty slow and limited on bitrates it'll do over network and so on. The UI is more clunky as well. Also the Netgear unit plays more formats and can even do native Blu-Ray from what I understand...
Hmm, well for now at least it's good to know that using this card won't hurt my performance. I guess when I start adding more then 14 drives I'll look into a nice card.
I was just looking through the manual for my motherboard and saw this
"NEC uPD720404 PCI-E to PCI-X bridge"
Does this mean that my PCIE cards technically run on the PCI-X channels anyways? If so then I'm not sure there's much difference as far as performance other then the ability to take the...
Well depends on the motherboard, I'm not sure if this board uses multiple PCI controllers but some of them do. But yes I believe it does in a normal circumstance. But even so how much bandwidth can a single drive use? Would 16 SATA drives max out 1.06GB/s? There is a PCIE SAS card on ebay that...
Well...these boards are cheap so I could get another one for backup lol. But also the cards are cheap, I think I got this one for like 40 2 years ago? I could probably grab another one for that cheap as well. If the board did die and I had to swap cards would I need to rebuild the array or could...
Hello guys, I've been ordering some parts to sort of update my server. Currently it uses an old AMD64 cpu and consumer motherboard but with the cheap prices of used opteron gear I decided I'd buy some as I'd be switching out some stuff on my server anyways and changing it to either FreeNAS or...
