You say AliExpress... do you mean like, the company, or a third party seller there?
PayPal is useful but you really shouldn't be using it on businesses that even seem slightly dodgy for one reason or another. That's why you use credit cards with buyer protection instead. PayPal will only go so far.
Time for me to give something back for once.

Anyone want this Black Magic Design DeckLink Mini Monitor card? I bought it at a local amazon return dumpster store a while back, thinking it was a capture card. It's untested (I don't have space to test it in my PC)...
That's just for version 21H2 of Windows 11 - the original one according to Wikipedia. They're saying, "We won't support this version because you haven't updated it to the latest build."
If you're on 22H2 (the 2022 update) then you're good for around one more year. If you're on 23H2, you're...
I agree on the YMMV thing. My local post office refused to let me send anything Media Mail for a decade, no matter how much I argued for it. They once stopped me from sending a comic book TPB that was fully eligible based on their "no ads" requirements. Once the postmaster was moved to another...
You'd be surprised at how much stuff is missing from there.
And yes, there's a collector's market, which means some eBay sellers are trying to charge me $15 per demo. But I don't want to resell these, just fill in holes in my collection and research data for others to use.
I have a near...
Hey folks. I collect old game magazine CDs / DVDs, demo discs, sampler discs, that sorta thing, and I figured I might as well ask if anyone here has some they'd like to part with - preferably for cheap, or in exchange for other items. I mostly do this to document various builds, patches, or...
So here's another thing I forgot to mention about the flat rate envelopes.
USPS employees really don't like it when people use the thinner, paper ones to ship anything that isn't documents or something that isn't very thin. I wanted to use one to ship a CD and they refused the package.
Also...
I've been selling things on eBay for 20 years. So I have some shipping advice.
For shipping smaller things that fit in an envelope through USPS, eBay and Pirate Ship are functionally the same, they both have the same cost. Media Mail is the same, as well. (Though this is just for CDs, DVDs and...
Of course they finally put down the old activation servers right after I'm about to build my next PC. So sad. All my Windows 7s, useless. (Actually I wanted to keep a couple of licenses for semi-retro gaming use.)
Gonna have to figure out how to use Massgrave.
I appreciate the offer, but I also have an Xbox 360 External drive. It has some power connection problems and so I was looking for a replacement that isn't as finicky as that one. :)
I still say you should wait, there's a chance the Amazon listing I pointed to is gonna be cheaper. The EGS store sale is going to last another week anyway. ;)
There's also https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/E29E1D79-2A0C-494A-A73C-21ABCA3740DB - the official EA Steam store on Amazon. You can't use gift card balance to buy these games, but they all activate on Steam directly (but still require an Origin account.) I bought Mass Effect Trilogy there...
I've been eyeing your post since it went up... but I honestly don't think I have anything worth offering in trade. Unless you want like, old movies or something.
Your prices are good, I'm just broke until I sell stuff on eBay.
Damn, I have like, six or seven different Windows 7 and 8 retail packs that I never activated for the free upgrade. There's no way to add them to an MS account so they can be used in new systems, right? Not even if I swap the license keys via the activation system built into Windows?
Longshot, but:
Would you take Steam keys for Darksiders 1 + 2 Remastered (includes the originals with all DLC, too) + Biomutant + Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Animal Collection in exchange for it? Plus some other stuff from here if you want to sweeten the deal: http://foxhack.net/stuff/humblelist.txt
The media creation isos are also usually patched to the latest service pack upgrades. A retail disc is going to be back at least what, six OS upgrades by now?
And down here, UPS is awesome, but FEDEX is total garbage that loves to keep my packages for up to a month before delivering them. It's all a massive crapshoot.
I've been selling things online for almost 20 years and I picked up some habits from that as well. Flat rate was a godsend for me for...
Ehhhhhhhhhhhh... not... anymore. USPS added some bullshit extra costs related to distance in the past couple of years. A 4 oz envelope (1st Class Parcel) sent to my own zip code in SoCal costs $3.59. That same envelope costs $3.97 to ship to Tennessee, or $4.13 to New York, Hawaii or Alaska. It...
I have a sealed Mediasonic HP1-SU3 card (UPC 629329000494) you can have for the cost of shipping, but it's 12 years old so it's super early USB3.0 and might be wonky (the reviews suggest that anyway.) I can ship it out first class in an envelope since it's still boxed. I planned to install that...
Anyone want some Game Informer magazines?
They're quite heavy, rather old, and just taking up space. I figure someone might want them... you don't even need to send me money! Just send me a prepaid shipping label for a Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box, and I'll wrap them in bubble wrap...
I probably posted this months ago but I forgot, I have a sealed package of Scotch 1S2D 5.25" Floppy diskettes with a free storage case that I'd be happy to send to anyone if they provide a prepaid shipping label for the box. It's this type: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304382109467 (mine only has 10...
Does anyone have any spare Zip disks? I need a 250 MB and a 750 MB if possible, to test a couple of drives that I ended up with. I looked on ebay but everyone wants 10 dollars to ship a single disk and uh, that's too much for a single item.
(Unless the 250 would be enough to test a 250 and a...
Yep, this should be mostly complete, except for the odd CD I missed in my storage boxes. I don't mind getting duplicates, any extras will be used to replace damaged items (scratches, scuffs, etc), traded, or resold in lots to cover more purchases.
That's the plan, whenever possible. Some stuff is already out there in the form of isos, but they rarely have contents listed. Having a full listing of the contents would be very helpful for people looking for specific patches, interviews, or videos. I'm involved with a few game preservation and...
I'm currently trying to build a collection of magazine cover disks and other PC demo discs for preservation and documentation purposes. My goal is to document these CDs and post a table of contents online, to help with game research efforts. I've already gotten a bunch from ebay and local...
I have a sealed box of Scotch 5.25" floppies in a protective case. Pay the postage from 92232 and they're yours :)
Edit: I'm always on the lookout for magazine coverdiscs (stuff from pc gamer etc) or preview / demo discs for games if you have a bunch you want to get rid of in exchange for this...
If you're going to send those drives in a flat rate envelope, put them in a sturdy box with extra padding before doing so.
Those envelopes are good, but they get tossed around a lot. They get treated like a box because of their dimensions so they're not safe to send stuff in on their own.
No need. I spoke to the person who is getting all of these and he agreed to let me send you one. :) Send me a PM with your zip code and I'll hook you up!
