I'm under the assumption that this issue was unique to me. If you all think it will happen for anyone then I obviously wouldn't sell it to someone else. Or I would at least tell them about the issues I had.
After playing MW 2 for the past few days with no crashes it seems clear that the GPU is the problem.
I'm going to sell it and get a replacement card. Which one would you guys recommend...
It's been 3 days I've been playing MW 2 without a single crash. I will continue testing but it seems like the issue is the 3060 RTX. I will report back after a few days.
The 3060 was used, but the PSU was new. I upgraded because my old PSU didn't have enough power cables for the 3060.
I have already gone back to the 1060 and will continue to see if I get any crashes this week.
I reinstalled the 1060 and was able to play MW 2 with no issue. I will keep playing it for the next week to see if it crashes. If not then the issue must be the GPU.
I upgraded to a 3060 RTX and now Far Cry 6, BF: 2042, and now MW 2 crash.
Before that I had a 1060 GTX and never had any issue.
I also upgraded my PSU to an EVGA - 650W 80 Plus Gold
I reinstalled the games, used DDU to completely remove the old drivers, and reinstalled Windows with no luck...
I had a very similar problem where I couldn't even install the Xbox app. I had to reset the Windows store, restart, and then install the app from the Windows Store and then it worked.
I went to install Back 4 Blood and it froze at 3%, but then when I tried to cancel and reinstall, it was...
I recently upgraded my PC and everything is working fine. But I would like to know if there is a way I can run diagnostic tests to ensure everything is hooked up properly. And I would like to run some kind of performance checks to ensure it's performing at optimal speeds.
May I have some...
Thank you. I don't know about the encoding as I'm very new to this and don't really know what I'm doing.
If I can get away with the 11400 I will do that, but can I use that to stream on a single PC?
I most plan on doing a lot of streaming and then putting whatever good content I can get from that on YouTube. So I don't imagine it will be that much editing. I do plan on upgrading my GPU once I can, but what CPU would you recommend in that case?
I got this advice from another place. What do you think?

Thanks all. I forgot to mention that I would also like to do some streaming on Twitch and content creation on YouTube. Would that change your recommendations?
I currently have an i5-3570k with 12 GB RAM and a GTX 1060 6 GB. I use a Viewsync VX2758-2KP-MHD 27" monitor, which has a resolution of 2560x1440 and 144 Hz refresh rate.
I play mostly CoD (Warzone) and Battlefield (5) and would like to play the new Battlefield when it comes out. I'm not...
I bought a 250 GB SSD and am using it as my primary drive with Windows and a few games installed.
I have my 1 TB HDD installed as a secondary and which currently has nothing on it.
Using the SSD has definitely sped things up, but I can install a handful of games, which is proving to be a...
If I get a chance to play at all it will be Battlefield V MP.
Since moving to a SSD I can only install the games I will actually play.
Currently I have BF V, Apex Legends, LA Noire, and Far Cry 5.
Far Cry is simply for the co-op although my friend is never free to play it with me, so it might...
I bought the $199 deal and the $40 PS+ and I don't know what to do with the PS+ pass. I bought Uncharted 4, HZD, Spider-man, and Just Cause 3. Only U4 has multiplayer and apparently only 1 mode.
What should I use the pass for? I'm mostly a PC gamer so I play my multiplayer games on my PC.
I'm trying to stick to a budget of around $300. The i7-7700 is already $250 alone.
That's what someone recommended to me on OCN. Where are you seeing that the i5-8600k is only a couple of bucks more than the i5-7600k? At Microcenter the 7600 is $180 and the 8600 is $299
I've never...
Thanks for the response. After thinking it over I've decided to sell my parts and do an upgrade. Even if I can overclock safely with the revision 1.0 board I don't feel comfortable doing it because it's completely new to me. The people on OCN have recommended some parts and it's been about 5...
So on OCN someone said that my board isn't really optimal for overclocking because I have revision 1.0 instead of 1.1.
They told me to get a used board that's meant for overclocking.
Do you guys think I should do that or just do a cheap upgrade? What would get me a better bang for my buck?
