AW3821DW (Nov 2020) with GSync Ultimate

Was less than 30 days, ended up calling a different Return Specialist team and they took care of it. Hoping the next one is different, if not i'm dipping out till the next release after reading reviews of people's struggles with the similar LG model.

AW3821DW (Nov 2020) with GSync Ultimate

So was anyone here able to get dell to actually send out a new monitor due to half the screen being darker than the other or for backlight bleed? The tech I spoke with this evening said neither of those issues were covered under warranty, and my only option was to return it. Honestly I could...

Bitcoin value cut in half as cryptocurrencies tumble in weekend slide 05-24-2021

Bitcoin is an asset, not a currency. It's not built to handle the transactions and supply necessary to facilitate the world's economy. Other cryptos may in the future, but BTC never will. I would not be surprised if one day the market cap of ETH surpasses BTC.

Is there something wrong with my 5950x?

This is a golden chip, and not the norm at all. Most reviewers were also sent cherry picks as well.

    Is this a Decent 5950X?

I wish either of my 5950Xs were as nice as that one. One chip has 2 cores that will boost to 5 ghz on the rare occasion at start up, the other has none. Neither has a second chiplet with a core that will hit 4.9. CB20 single core on one can't break 627 on the other it's 612. Ryzen CTR tells...

    AMD 3950+ Issue

Voltages are definitely too high for everyday use with that cooler. Anything above 1.35v vcore is asking for trouble and higher temps, like an earlier poster said 1.325v is the comfort zone. Keep in mind there are some cases where lowering voltage will actually yield better results due to the...

    EVGA RMA support.

Considering everything that died was in close proximity to each other (if you were using the top PCI-E slot) it sounds to me like something went haywire on your motherboard. Sad to say though I'm not sure a motherboard oem would offer to replace your GPU even if their motherboard was the cause...

ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti $999.99

Some of the cost is due to the size of the Chip. It's gigantic, the biggest Nvidia has produced on its current node, maybe even any node, and yields are supposedly pretty low (Probably part of the reason we haven't seen a 2080ti Super). Not that I think it's rational for a consumer GPU to cost...

    EVGA RMA support.

Best support in tech I've experienced has been Corsair. They aren't the fastest, but they've always come through for me. I know a lot of people have had nightmare stories though.

    EVGA RMA support.

It's most definitely not always excellent. I went through a month of back and forth just to get a malfunctioning fan replaced for a 2080ti Hybrid CLC cooler. From telling me it was just fine that it wasn't controllable in Precision X1 to BIOS flashing bs which they never supplied, I honestly...

ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero not booting error code 90

Same boat as you, if given the chance to do it over again, I would go with the Gigabyte board. I had problems with my system crashing when entering and leaving sleep for 3 months. Turned out I had to manually set the VTTDDR even at stock 2133mhz before it would stop crashing, drove me nuts...

    3950X Midnight Countdown

It was store dependent. The MC in Parkville, MD held one for me until 8 PM yesterday. Had to drive 160 miles round trip to get it, but totally worth it. Glad I didn't pick the MC at St. David's in PA, or they would have canceled my order.

    I blew up my 3600

is 4.25 at 1.42v really that good of an all core oc on Ryzen 3000? That voltage seems a bit high for being manually set. From what I've seen, most don't recommend going over 1.35v for manually set voltage. I'm currently at 1.325v @ 4200 on my 3700x.

Safely Removing EVGA Precision X16 and undoing it's settings/clean install of GPU drivers.

Make sure you aren't connected to the internet after you use DDU, or windows will install drivers for the new GPU upon boot up, which most likely will be months behind. There's also a setting in DDU to prevent windows from doing that, but they recommend reverting that change after you install...

Ryzen 3000 (Zen2) OS loading reboot loop?

Think i've narrowed it down to either one of my RAM sticks or the B2 ram slot. Will test the other RAM stick tonight in the A2 slot, but considering i've had the same issues with two different sets of RAM, i'm pretty sure i'm going to have to RMA my motherboard unfortunately :(

Ryzen 3000 (Zen2) OS loading reboot loop?

I'm having issues with my 3700X PC rebooting when it wakes from sleep, and then crashing again after logging in. Not really sure what the deal is, maybe I should consider contacting AMD. I've tried pretty much everything but a new cpu, PSU, and motherboard. The errors in the event viewer are...

Microsoft issues new Windows 10 update warning

The recent update has been causing BSODs for me related to winsock adpater, which i'm guessing is tied into this networking mess. I'm not sure what they're doing over there in Redmond, but I think its time to slow the fuck down and make sure things are right before throwing them out into the wild.

    Will i5 3570k Oc'd to 4.5 bottleneck an RTX 2060 @ 1080p 144hz?

If it were a 2070 Super or higher there'd be a bigger bottleneck, but with a 2060, it'll probably be okay as long as he is just running the game. If he has a bunch of Chrome Tabs open, iTunes running, or streaming on twitch, definitely going to have some performance issues. If he's playing...

    2080S + CPU or 2080 Ti?

    Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic modifications.

I ran into this problem with this case, having drives snug up against the case's walls and brackets can cause issues with the SATA power plugs and even flat data cables. The only solution I could think of was washers/spacers and longer screws. It works but isn't the best solution.

    3900X Temperature Reading Help!

Tech Jesus did a video on voltage offset with 3900x. Granted this was prior to the latest updates. Majority of his testing with -.05 offset showed no real performance degradation, most changes were within margin of error. He did a little bit of -.1 which seemed to show a little bit of...

I don't really care what you think either. I was just saying dud cards can happen, and it's not worth rolling the dice at $1900. I don't really care if they were ES samples or not, it happens in both scenarios, so your point is?

    Look at this $1900 monster...

Their extra binning process should of made them almost golden on a $1900 card, so I don't agree with you at all. Be advised you can still get a dud chip with one of these as I did (reference the JayzTwoCents and GN OC'ing video where Vince says one of the kingpin cards isn't so good) Costly return for sure with the restocking fee, but no way I was hanging onto a $1900 card that couldn't even get past 2130...

    3950X Who's waiting for it?

Sometimes you have to feed the inner nerd. In your case though, do you think the upgrade to a 3700X would even be worth it? You're looking at $600 minimum for a 15% increase in IPC but loss of 4 cores, which almost seems like a sidegrade at best.

    3950X Who's waiting for it?

I'm waiting for the 3950x. While I'm sure 16 cores is overkill for most, with the amount of multitasking I do, I'm going for it. I remember when I jumped from 4 cores to 6 cores seeing just how noticeable it was so I can only imagine what going from 6 to 16 will be like. The 3950x will have...

Major temperature difference between Corsair H105 and H100i V2? Defect?

Have you installed corsair link to see which operating mode the pump is in? After a reinstall of windows i didn't understand why my CPU was hitting high 70s and 80s until i did and changed it from quiet to performance. Not saying it's going to help your situation, but it may.

I had a corsair h100 where the copper part of the block started to erode and turn green near the edge. The next day they sent me out a brand new unit and also a return label for my leaking one. I know sometimes their service is spotty, but in that case, it was excellent.

Why does raytracing suck so much, is it because of nvidia's bad hardware implementation?

I wasn't really impressed by the Quake II RTX demo, and at 4k, it was a stuttering mess on a 2080Ti. Turned it down to 1080p and it ran alright. I'm sure Raytracing is the future, it's just not ready yet. The 2080ti is a great chip, but the price and tech just aren't where they should be.
