Personally, I'd go with the black, considering your workstation has a black theme. That way, it matches :) Plus, you can always paint them. :)
Also, what stand is that. I know, I know. Yes, I'm still looking for a stand. I'm just too cheap ;)
That is a full pod of Dell blade servers. They are typically used in compute clusters of some sort. My guess would be either a VMware farm or render farm.
I agree with you about the handling part. I was lucky enough to get my order in within a couple of days of the launch. I just gotta wait for Element14 to ship it :D As for the certifications, they had to go ahead and do the certs because the product ended up having a very high demand from people...
hey, when one asks a dumb question, one should expect a dumb answer. besides, if someone doesn't know their hostname, at least we can easily look up their machine name using their userid...but sometimes they don't even know that *facepalm*
Well, whenever we do have a new person come in, we just rename the host in our network database, and then run our rename script on the client. The reason we do this is so we can keep track of which machines belong to which users.
lol i don't even have a pr0n directory. or a mac/linux system for that matter. I was merely saving a place to put my pictures later on...i shall do that now.
Well, at school, we use a naming convention like <registration type><reg. number><userid>.<domain type>.<TLD> for example r01johndoe.managed.example.com.
the reg types we use are:
r - standard desktop machine
rt - traveling desktop (laptop)
rv - virtual desktop (VDI)
then we have domain types...
nah, see what you need to do is get an all out server board and load it up with like 1 TB of ram. or better yet, just go buy a Dell PowerEdge R910 fully loaded ^_^
haha, just kidding. but seriously though, super jealous. I can't wait to see it fully built.
I have one of those chairs at work. I HATE it. lol. I would take my leather (read: vinyl) executive style chair that i won at an auction for $25 any day. but that's just me :D
Nice setup! :) Just gotta ask, what monitor stand are you using? Hopefully I'll be running triple ASUS 23.6" LED's by the end of the summer, and I'm still looking for a good stand.
thanks for the info. I just wish I could find a stand that could support three 24's and not cost a fortune.
Speaking of which, What stand did you use? It looks like it's holding up well. :)
Nice setup man! Just a quick question: What stand did you use for your eyefinity setup? I've been looking for one to mount three 24's to, but I can't seem to find one :(
If that doesn't work, you may want to update your nvida driver to the latest version, and then update the bios, chipset drivers, etc. After that, I would say make sure that both of the devices on the 560 are set to the same resolution, and not set to auto or anything like that. All else fails...
Hmmm, not so sure on that one. It may be a limitation in Nvidia's driver or Windows's display settings. However, I would go through and check all of your settings in both windows display properties and the nvidia control panel when the projector is on, just to make sure that it's set properly...
It looks like you're using the EVGA Geforce GTX 560 Ti GPU, correct? And you're trying to connect 3 devices to that one graphics card? Here's the thing. That GPU does support the Nvidia surround technology (3 or more monitors), but you will need a second GPU in SLI with the first one. Even then...
nah, he just wants to make the rest of us drool over that case. "oh hey guys check out my $275 super awesome full tower case that I'm using to put my file server in." seriously though, that is a sexy case, and I'm going to use the same one to house my extremely retarded build when I get out of...
I'm sure the rest of the users on here would appreciate it if you resized your pics. I have a 22" monitor at 1080p, and i still can't see the whole pic at once, so you can imagine what most other guys watching this thread see.
so, i have that exact same tv stand...i thought it was only supposed to handle up to a 46 inch tv or something? but if it works, then ya cant complain :D
