I feel the same. I did play some COD online last year for the first time in years and held my own. I'm in my early 50's now and just don't feel like doing that much anymore. I was always a UT99 guy who enjoyed playing against bots and that just stuck with me I suppose. It just sucks that so may...
If you don't care about getting a new case I'd recommend something that can support top, front, or side radiators. something like the Corsair 5000 or 7000 series.
Here is a bit more in depth review of the 6500X as well. Nice case with a few flaws that honestly wouldn't stop me from buying it.

I have used the Corsair 7000X/D cases as well and they are very nice. Still have them and I always seem to find my way back to them on occasion when I get bored and decide to switch hardware into them.
I was running a 13900K for months with zero issues with any games. The only reason I switched to an i5 was due to heat and combined power draw with the 4090. I realized then that you really don't need to have an i7 or i9 to have an excellent gaming PC, and from what I'm seeing now I made the...
I am running both an Intel 13600K and a 14600K and I'm usually an i7 or i9 guy, but the i5's are the way to go for gaming to be honest. I use the 14600K with a 4090 at 4K and the 13600K at 1440P with a 4080, and they run cooler and are just a few FPS behind their higher counterparts.
I will...

Not a fan of the guy, but the title is hilarious and applies to "overclocking" here. Always proof read I guess?
That would be the safest bet, but mainly I would think the space behind the motherboard and back panel would be the biggest factor. Just about any full tower or good size mid tower case would do the trick. Something like this.
You could be right on the $4K cost. That's another reason I'm riding out this rig for as long as I can. The prices along with more and more power consumption are my main reasons to maybe justify a new hobby by then.
My mindset is a little different. I did spend for the faster video card (not near $2,500 at the time) because I still game a bit but not like I used to. Though this PC will last me well into when I don't want to game as much. I don't really see myself upgrading anymore after this. I won't...
I have to agree. The older I get the more I do things that make ME happy after years of makings others happy. If that's a shiny new piece of hardware that does it then so be it.
I agree with Nvidia/Intel being comfortable. I have been using them for years with no issues. I also noticed my 14600K at 4K is just 4 FPS behind the 14900KS in those techpowerup charts..:)
I haven't owned any or had experience with the power supplies you listed, but be wary of FSP. I have one of their latest ATX 3.0 1200W units fail on me and they have been nonexistent on getting a hold of for warranty.
