A recent cumulative update for Exchange 2016 was intended to add support for Windows Server 2016. But, after numerous reported issues, Microsoft has acknowledged a problem exists.
According to the release notes…
If you attempt to run Microsoft Exchange 2016 CU3 on Windows Server 2016, you will...
Looks like security patching out of the box is still a unlisted required. Also I guess we should thank microsoft for in including flash player in our server os http://imgur.com/a/OiEfV (n)
I don't believe you are going to be able to disabe ICMP on the host, vcenter has functions that utilize ICMP. It could help if you could post a sanitized network map, another thing you could do is block ICMP using a firewall
A lot of enterprises are still running 2008R2 with some 2012 servers so it would be great for them. It will be a must have for web devs, they will want IIS 10 and etc. I think 2012R2 was okay it didn't seem as solid as 2008R2 in some scenarios, as time permits i'm going put 2016 through it's...
The GUI is windows 10 themed, IIS 10 is out with this version windows server. It seems like most the of special bits are around the hyper-v features and cloud integration
I saw they added some new thing to hyper-v like stuff like S2D or guarded machines/shielded VMs but i don't run hyper-v so meh
You can DL it here Technet Evaluation Center
Where I am many non-management IT jobs, pay over 100k but most come with baggage. I've been targeting a "sweet spot" sort of which will pay me an acceptable rate but with out the baggage but it's difficult because I have so experience, I often get asked why do you want to work here when you...
The finance sector isn't really large where I live and that's a good thing. I don't plan on moving again (especially to Chicago or NY) I love it where I am.
If you take on a manager role successfully, you’ll focus on management. I don't confuse IT management with engineering. I've been in IT management before, and I don't desire that anymore, I want a technical leadership role or a technical lead with no direct reports that way I can focus on...
Is it possible to have too much experience in this field? Over the years I've moved up the pay scales, however, I'm still not in the 100k range yet but very close. I have an issue which is no one wants to pay for my level of experience, I've even made a move to another state which is more suited...
Sorry:D I actually wrote about the whole project extensively on my blog. The short answer is I used various versions of the vCenter converter, in certain situations I installed the vCenter converter on the VM in order to convert it.
I have exported several vm's from xenserver 6.5, when i attempt to deploy them to vsphere I get
Could not parse the document: 'encoding specified in XML declaration is incorrect".
Any of you guys come across this error before?
I have a colleague that owns a company, they are 100% osx environment. They do conferences many times a year and they swear by OmniFocus to plan the conferences and the podcasts
I know the xe toolset pretty well at this point (running it 3yrs now) but to the other posters point it's not VMware. I think most would agree that if they could run ESXi at home they would, I run Xen because it's free but it does have quite a few pain points. I'm going to join the club and go...
I didn't either, I have XenServer running my hosts. It maybe some what of a chore now to backup/export my guests so I can rebuild the hosts with vmware:eek:
