Another vote for watching from the sideline. 7000 series is faster, but hot, hot, hot🥵! I recently upgraded from 3700X to 5900X to stick with a good chip from an established (yeah, EOL too) platform.
It's most certainly a combination of many things. Kudos to Jensen for being diplomatic, but the way Andrew made the announcement I don't really see the two as "great friends" anymore.
Yeah, but if that's all there was to it why didn't Andrew Han just come out and say that? Why not just issue a press release and move on? Why invite the youtoobers out to CA to stir up a bunch of drama?
These 4000 series cards are so freaking big that we're going to go full circle- time to turn your case on it's side and plant your monitor on the top again just like your old Packard Bell 386.
I won't pretend I understand how to run a business, but, like a lot of things in life, I don't think you can point to any single reason here why EVGA gave up GPU's. After reading for a few days now, here's my take (on thread page 11, heh). No doubt I've missed multiple somethings...
There is a more-or-less official acknowledgment of the news in their forums by JacobF: https://forums.evga.com/Official-Message-from-EVGA-Management-m3574574.aspx
And here's the first write-up I could find for those like me who are video-adverse...
I don't think reliability is a big issue with these, but can't speak to it personally as I haven't used mine that much. I am pretty sure that a company called Gamevice built the V1 Kishi for Razer though, so general razer reliability issues may not apply here.
I grabbed one of these off of ebay a few months back for about $38. Alternatively, Best Buy has these on sale currently for $45 (Android) or $50 (Xbox) if you don't trust "open box" (mine looked new and works well). There's really no difference between the "Android" and "Xbox" versions of these...
Yep, that's me. Started out with a 1700X and an X470 board. Sold the 1700X to a friend and dropped in a 3700X. Now planning on building the kid a rig around the 3700X and upgrading to the 5800X/X3D and trying my best to sit AM5 out.
This was the main concern I had about buying one (and the reason I was patient and waited for a sale)- that it is still the 2019 model and a new shield version should be forthcoming. But as far as I know there's been no announcement from nVidia, just that a new one is "due".
I can't speak to...
Ah, nice, I thought about posting this too but wasn't sure it was relevant enough. I've been wanting a Shield Pro for a while and grabbed one from Best Buy yesterday for the sale price. They just drove it over from the store and delivered for free today- faster than Amazon. Now I can finally...
I'm considering a 5800X or 5900X as well, and can hand-me-down my 3700X, so have been watching prices.
I know it's very location specific, but I have access to a Microcenter. They've been pretty stable on pricing for the the past few weeks, although they lowered the 5800X3D from $419.99 to...
I entered for a few cards yesterday just because. Never got a notification about "winning" or not. Are they just repeating yesterday's stuff because that shuffle didn't work?
edit: maybe I messed up, I don't see a newegg email from yesterday confirming my entries. I have one for today.
Keyboard and mouse are $15 again at EVGA with free shipping. Not as good as $10, but still pretty cheap and even a little lower with an associate code.
I'm seeing $359 now, how long was it at $329?
I don't need to upgrade my 3700X, but I want to. I can resist at $360, but if the 5900X/5800X3D keep dropping ($299, pls?) I'll grab one and ride out at least the first few gens of AM5.
Pretty sure the Z20 and Z15 come with a palm rest, but the Z12 doesn't. So only need one for a Z15 if you are replacing the one it came with. And in that case, I'm not sure if the $10 Z12 one is compatible.
I'm seeing both $9.23 items out of stock. Just tried to order a keyboard (was able to add to cart) for the kid and website was slow and after I clicked confirm order I just got kicked back to the main page w/o an order confirmation.
Considering the $34 Z15 linear, just because...
EVGA has some of their peripherals on sale today for their 23rd Anniversary.
The Z12 keyboard and X12 mouse are $9.23 shipped free. A few of their other mice an keyboards are also on sale too, as well as some motherboards.
I grabbed a Z12 just to have an extra keyboard around.
edit: don't...
I don't have any complaints with my 3080Ti FTW and the CX48. I don't have Cyberpunk so haven't really stressed things, but Horizon Zero Dawn runs and looks real nice. I think you'll be in good shape to skip at least the 4000 series now.
Perhaps calling him a clown gave the impression that I am not aware of the economics surrounding streamers. I have kids. I am well aware. Being a clown, streamer, gamer, businessman, multi-millionaire, they're not mutually exclusive. The pity mechanic thing was new to me.
Regardless of where...
Apologies in advance for piling on.
Is disappointment in aspects of a game not allowed in a discussion thread? Can only people who actively play the game participate?
Allow me to insert a pivot post in the hopes that all grown ups can continue to enjoy The [H].
I have not played Immortal, but...
I swear, next to the CEO or whatever the highest paid employees on these projects must be the psycologists/psyciatrists. They've totally figured out how to manipulate their victims.
Oh wow, these mobile (and PC builds of mobile) "games" actually have spending pity mechanics? Today I learned...
Kudos to this clown, er, streamer for exposing this garbage, but also shame on him for feeding the beast. And the article says he's going to go for $20k now?! Enjoy your predatory...
EVGA cards on... Sale??!! Decent price cuts to the 12GB 3080s, and the 3070Ti FTW at least.
https://www.evga.com/articles/01559/evga-stack-and-save-event/
That didn't last long, but good to see stock finally trickling down to the 3060Ti from EVGA.
Additionally, I got an email notification for the 3070 XC3 Ultra not too long ago. Forgot I kept that one alive.
Patience seems like an ironic thing to advocate for right now, and if you can find a card that works for you with a good price, by all means snag it and don't look back. That newegg Tuf 3070Ti would have worked nicely.
But on the other hand, it might be worth thinking about what the price of...
Prices are slowly dropping on the Antonline EVGA bundles. The 3060Ti XC bundle used to be $720 and it's now down to $690. Not a lot less (and some bundle items are changing- mouse vs keyboard, etc). But another sign that the Earth is healing.
And they have a standalone non-bundle 12GB 2060 card...
I signed up too, for the heck of it. But I don't have an EVGA SuperStarScore of 40 buhzillion and I got my 3080Ti from the queue last year so I'm probably at the back of the 3.0 bus anyway. It will be interesting though- demand must not be high based on how smooth the website was.
I agree that...
