i got a galaxy gtx460 from the bing deals last friday and put it in last night. i have a stock heatsink and fan on my i5-750 so it's not a quiet machine by any means but not loud either. i didn't hear the vid card over the proc fan until it was under a load and the fan speed turned up.
installed mine through the phone updates last night. proccess hung up for long periods of time while updating scared me and made me think it had froze but it eventually went through. i'm rocking 2.2 now.
like others have said other than the flashlight and some comsetic differences or little...
i'm doing the same thing. that wasn't engadget that said that it was sprint in their press release. they didn't say when the eager people could get it. just before the OTA update. so it could even be monday before we get it.
i just upgraded my 8800gtx to a gtx 460 using the Bing cash Back deal in the [H]ot Deals forum.
1gb galaxy gtx 460 card from dell for $240 - 25% Bing Cashback = $180.
maybe overkill for what you need but have look at symantec backup exec. you have to have a remote client license to backup a networked server but it will do it.
cli is very similar to cisco's. not as nice as ciscos but you can get used to it for the price difference. but if you know what you're doing it's not hard to figure out the differences.
just a note from experience
vlans from cli are lil rough on typing amount but you can also type menu and...
the only reasn i said to avoid a 2800 is that i'm pretty sure the main benefit you'll get from them is layer 3 routing and you said you didn't need that at the switch level.
If you want to pay extra for those features and not use them then it will work just fine. there maybe some other...
I work for a place that is always on a budget and i use HP's switches for about everything
5412zl is their blade switch setup you can get a started kit for about 10k from cdw and that comes with 96 10/100/1000 poe ports
you can also look at the 2520 series for 10/100 poe ports or gig poe...
not all IT depts are funded well enough to have uber nice network management software. or cisco switches in every rack that will do VTP.
why manage 16 switches when you could manage 2?
we run HP switches for the most part their 5412 blade switches are nice. Maybe not as nice as some...
+1 for patch panels.
if you grow beyond 2 racks having a switch at the top of each rack could become a management nightmare. I have 2 dc's both with 8+ racks. 1 blade switch for each datacenter with 2 patch panels for each rack. makes configuring vlans easy without useing vtp. also don't...
i it possible it may be a deivice that sends out any kind of broadcast traffic? Maybe a long shot, but you could just throw up wireshark on a device in the same vlan and see if you see any broadcast traffic from an IP you wouldn't expect to see there.
before driving 12 hours though i'd have...
if you know the ip range of the building it came from you could throw another box on the same vlan in the same wrong subnet and use angry ip and scan the whole thing.
yes the ps3 one is more like the ps2 ones no vehicles. some of the maps have large and small versions but feel awesome. they have the old socom 1 and 2 maps. and the new DLC brough back vigilince nightstalker and blizzard.
i agree i didn't play much socom 3 becuase of vehicles and large...
i was a huge fan of the old ps2 socoms and was really dissappointed with the ps3 version. last week the cold front expansion came out and really turned that around for me awesome new maps and awesome remakes of the old ones.
still have issues with the communities elitism (i was voted out of...
I think everytime i did those group labs in my CCNA classes i always pulled the group through. If i think about it now. going back and fixing their mistakes made me better at my job today. I'm a network admin for a fairly large company and i doubt those guys/girls that i carried on my "coattail"...

first usable subnet would be if you used 001 in the in the...
We use the Large procurve 5412zl's in a few of our locations and price per port can't be beat and we haven't had any issues with them at all. if it's any help to you we use RANCID on all of our equipment includeing the 5412's.
I don't have any input on the smaller procurve switches we...
the olive operating system is supposed to mimic their IVE operating system that runs on juniper SA boxes. it shouldn't do much routing since the SA boxes aren't designed for routing more of a slick SSL VPN device.
i know juniper used to have a page available to partners that had a lab where...
