I bought one of the very first cases from CL, so you could say that I've been with them for awhile.
At the end of July 2016, while they were still taking orders for the Mercury S8, I place an order. The order was supposed to be delivered by the end of Sept. 2016 per communications with CL. CL...
I'm not getting anywhere on the official NVIDIA forums and thought that I'd try here. I spoke with EVGA last week and their first suggestion was to disable SLI in the NVIDIA Control Panel and then report back. Currently testing that out...
I bought one from Amazon. It didn't even turn on. Second one worked but overall I wasn't happy with the viewing angles - colors anywhere but the center were washed out. Went back to my LG 34UC97.
Out with the old... in with the new!
Before someone asks, the "desk" in the second picture is a lab bench in my home office where I work on projects. :D
Gotcha. But I'm concerned about those with GTX 980s that only has 1 DP per card (e.g., EVGA GTX 980 Classified, etc.). If you tri-SLI those type of cards you're screwed and that's ridiculous. From what I understand this was suppose to be addressed by Nvidia where you could use the DP port for...
Ah, that was it - that GSYNC was the issue. Thanks.
This is what I'm hoping gets fixed:

A few months ago I read/watch a PCPER article/video which touched on Nividia Tri-SLI and using three displays - it might have been 3 Asus ROG Swifts. At the time Nvidia would not allow SLI to be enabled if you needed to use the DP on each of your 3 video cards. You'd have to only use the ports...
Personally I don't care about ULMB. But viewing angles and color mean enough to me to dump the Swift and fall back to my Dell UP3214Q for now. I'll be all over an IPS GSYNC display.
I like the Swift for gaming but I I have to run Monitor Calibration Wizard to force a color profile for the...
Maybe it's because the Acer XB270HU was announced. ;)
If that thing actually delivers I might actually be able to do what I had hoped to do with the PG278Q - portrait surround with three displays.
This is how I felt with my Dell UP3214Q next to my Swift. How do you have these both configuration on your desk for daily use? I was going to try and get some sort of big ass arm for the Swift so that I could swing it down and over the Dell but decided against that.
You did exactly what I had originally planned to do. However, everyone warned me that going portrait with TN was a mistake.
Color shift isn't great even when the thing is in landscape - this doesn't bother you when it's vertical? How do you find the experience overall? Is this why you're...
So "NVIDIA Control Panel" -> "Manage 3D settings" -> "Global Settings" -> "Preferred refresh rate" can be used to set the Swift to 144 Hz for games and the desktop. But is there a way to set the Swift to 120Hz after exiting a game where you were playing at 144Hz - without using the monitor...
Just snagged one from Best Buy for $389.69 shipped thanks to gift cards - bonus benefit for upgrading all of the kitchen appliances for the wife. Go www.nowinstock.net! Hopefully they don't cancel my order like MicroCenter did.
Micro Center calls me 14 hours after I order it to confirm my address - evidently this is something that they regularly do. I'm sure that they justify this practice as a means of protecting the consumer but what they're really doing is protecting themselves. They also won't send your order to...
I really glad to see more people trying this as it's exactly what I'd like to do with 3 Swifts. What's your experience with them all in portrait - any viewing angle issues?
Also what GPU configuration are you using? I'm currently running Tri-SLI GTX 780 Ti Classified and even with that I don't...
Nice, but keep in mind that the driver used in the PCPER review (Nvidia Surround w/ GSYNC & SLI) hasn't been released yet. I've been thinking of also picking up 3 Swifts but I'd like to set them all up in portrait mode. If you're board feel free to try it out and report back. A lot of people are...
The opinion on this is beginning to seem unanimous - what a bummer. What are you running now Vega? I shelved my Dell 4K UP3214Q 4K (literally it's sitting covered on a shelf under my lab bench) and went back to my tried and true HP ZR30W.
BTW, what arm system do you use to drop another monitor...
For those that have a Swift and are willing to test it in portrait mode I'd be very happy to hear what you all think. I had my heart set on running 3 in portrait mode for gaming but I'm reading that even with the "superior" TN panel of the Swift that it's probably not a good idea due to viewing...
Can someone who actually has this display in their possession please reply or PM with the width, height and depth of the the panel portion? Completely disregard the stand.
I'm curious how much room three of these in portrait mode, placed side to side, will take up. :D
Thanks.
Happy, see my reply above. It's card to say who really is to blame for the MST issues. If the issue is one that Nvidia can fix and actually does then I think that changes things. However, if you like to run games at max settings you're going to need something better than Tri GTX 780 Ti...
I can't really say. I would be using the monitor right now, instead of staring at it in a box, if MST mode wasn't such a buggy POS. The problem is between the OS, GPU, GPU firmware, DP cable and Dell firmware who the heck knows who really is to blame for the MST issues. If anyone is going to buy...
Happy asked me to post an update so here goes. Unfortunately Dell doesn't offer a zero dead pixel guarantee - check the fine print. You'd think they would considering the cost of the display and it being their flagship but considering the level of defects with the panels I can see why they...
Thanks. It was a pain but what really bothered me is that I wanted one to actually work out (e.g., no noticeable pixel defects). The damn thing is beautiful to stare out. We'll see how this one turns out.
As some may know I went through three new Dell 4K (UP3214Q) displays. The number of pixel defects just didn’t sit well with me considering the cost of the display. I also had a stand issue with one of the three displays. Eventually I had a full refund issued.
This week a Dell VP contacted...
Because people love to complain about what they don't have and/or can't get for one reason or another. The same thing happened when 4K PC displays started to sell.
I just returned my third 4K Dell display and my next venture into display land will be multiple G-Sync displays in portrait.
I recommend staying away from this display or any other 4K display - at least for now. I went through 3 displays before I said screw it.

However, I will say that physically speaking the UP3214Q is quite nice and...
