Do you have Sharpness at the default setting (10) on the LG? Since that actually overshapens the image, the neutral setting is 0. AW does not look soft to me personally but just mentioning that since it may be the reason the LG looks sharper.

Another thing is that on monitors they tend to use matte anti-glare coatings while TVs usually are more glossy.
