Is power adapter on Dell 2407 WFP same on u3011?

I had a 2407WFP. They use a stamdard PC power cord as mentioned above. I can't say for the 30, but I believe it uses the same power cord as well.

Most 2012 LG TV to use IPS?

Yah, I agree totally, except that back when I bought my S-PVA Samsung, plasmas had 60Hz flicker and I am more sensitive to that than most people. If I had to replace my TV now I would go with the Panny Viera for sure.

Monitor refresh rate easy on eyes

Eye strain has more to do with other factors besides refresh rate. Most LCDs do not flicker, so it is more about brightness, dot pitch, and room lighting.

    LGs 55 inch OLED TV

I thought the same thing when local dimming came out. If you shrink the dimming zones to one pixel then you would have a great display, but the cost will not allow it. Another question is can you calibrate LEDs accurately?

EIZO is discontinuing the 16:10 monitors? :O

No; I am talking about resolutions we have not seen yet, like 3840x2160 or whatever quad HD turns out to be. 2560x1440 is still inadequate for engineering and many other applications. You obviously do not have any experience with anything but gaming, so you do not see the need for the extra...

EIZO is discontinuing the 16:10 monitors? :O

This is a real concern right now, but if LG actually does come out with higher resolutions than 2560 x 1440 in a 16:9 and a larger physical size then it would not matter much. It is really all about the number of pixels for those of us that do more then gaming.

EIZO is discontinuing the 16:10 monitors? :O

They seem to have a cosy relationship with Samsung and Samsung has dropped production of 30 inch panels for their own business reasons. They never really supported the 30 inch size anyway. It is too bad, because I believe a 30 inch PLS screen in a proper cabnit (no BLB) would command a high...

Over saturated colors looks like a cartoon or poster where the colors are too strong/bright. It is not a big deal for business apps. Go back to 10e's review and use his color settings. Then do your own tweaking if you need to. The bigger dot pitch really is easier on the eyes.

LCD,LED screens 'burn" my eyes! What is the solution?

LCD != world, but if you want to use one, you need to find a way to work arround the problems you are having. You will never get there if you give up to easy. As others have said it may very well be that LCD is not for you

LCD,LED screens 'burn" my eyes! What is the solution?

That is acute eyestrain. I am extreamly near sighted, and have worked with a lot of low vision specialists on this issue, because I suffer from it myself. What you describe is acute eyestrain. It can get crazy painful. P. S. We are trying to help, so do not take what is said here the wrong way.

LCD,LED screens 'burn" my eyes! What is the solution?

Here is my take and advice: First; panel type does not matter that much, but stay away from TN for a lot of reasons. What I suggest is try bias lighting if you haven't already. Pay close attention to dot pitch. The tighter the dot pitch the smaller the text and that leads to eye strain...

    16:10 vs 16:9 - what you prefer?

Exactly, Why do gamers insist on hiding the real reason for wanting 16:9. It is all about price, they want to have one screen to do it all. In their case all includes games and movies, because they usually do not have room or budget for a TV and a computer display in their bedroom/dormroom. I am...

15:9 vs 16:10 has been rehashed numerious times on this forum. Use the search function. When it was done as a poll (more than once), the end result was 16:10 ~100 and 16:9 ~ 50, or 2 to 1 in favor of 16:10. Don't take my word for it; look it up!
