Update to this. Last response from Intel:
So basically Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, ect... are/were undervolting the 13 and 14th gen CPUs? And says that 1.6Vcore is normal.
To give the story on my issue and what intel has sent.
On 4/8/2024 I opened a ticket at Intel stating:
On 4/12/2024 after no response from Intel:
They responded a few hours later:
Now I was a bit puzzled, but I tried and it passed just fine, besides the fact that Cinebench gave me a 27,394...
I personally ran into issues on my 13900k, had to run intel fail safe which gives the CPU 1.6v for it to be stable. I had the PL1/2 set to 300w since day one as well.
Swapped to a 14900k and the system is stable again but intel is giving me the run around to get it replaced.
Ill have to try.
I like CS2 but It's no where as good as CS1 with the mods, the last few nights is "fix traffic sim 2" I made some headway with mods, if TPME was available I'm sure I could fix it.
200k Pop on my city and I see 80-100% CPU usage on a 14900k. FPS has been fine. I have a server...

I will tell you that my drives that I've purchased show SMART data. The recent ones are between 36k-40k hours and with the age of the drive it checks out.
These are: https://www.ebay.com/itm/156046813385
I purchased 6 of them last week, 5 yr warranty.
They do and it was not a hassle either which was a pleasant surprise when I had to contact them to get a replacement.
They might be my next chair, the seem very similar to the DXRacers I have and have cloth options.
I only purchased DXRacer since 2015, had the same chair till 2021 and got the wife one. Only replaced it due to it starting to peel where my head would touch and some of the edges, it was still...
Everything from big box stores. All of them were shit after 6 months.
My main issue is they didn't break but the seat foam didn't last, so you sat on plywood after a few months. It got to the point I just bought a pillow and sat on that for a while.
I have all the DLC on CS1 with nearly 600 hours on the game. So there heck of alot more 'stuff' and the mods is really what helps make the game better. Somethings CS2 is better at or can be better at over time. Some is preference, like traffic. transit system ect.
CS1 is good, and is a good...
I fully agree and having substations, those are great as well.
Not anymore, no.
And a lot of other people are having the same issue (including myself) If it does get built, no one moves in.
After 22 hours, I miss playing CS1.
There a lot of little bugs and new 'features' that are annoying.
The Cims and their driving is still awful in a different way, stopping in middle or roads, roundabouts and making random u turns that make no sense and like CS1, Cims will ALWAYS change lane at...
Non bug annoyances.
No way to change stop signs or traffic lights with yield signs, or tell which roads at the intersections should get stop signs.
Schools are still too small. 1500 max cap for elementary school so you need 4 schools in 8 blocks for big cities
Still no way to control traffic...
Start off with 8GB right out of the gate, peaks around 9.8GB I haven't seen it get much higher.
Unrelated, I have found some annoying bugs.
Solar power plants do not use their batteries at night, putting the whole city without power (unless you have backup power plants)
Specialised industry...
RTX 4090 update. Good god that card is a beast. No setting changes, the exact same settings were used from the 3080.
Anyway. The map that ng4ever suggested that I try is now a average of 60FPS in smack in the middle of the city, away from the big buildings 70-80FPS, and away from everything...
If you are looking at the middle of the map, 25-30ish FPS. Away from the big buildings, you gain the FPS back to about 40-50ish, away from anything 80+.
I will say that save just showed me a very annoying flaw that I have not yet seen. Pedestrian are the leading cause of traffic jams in that...
I've said it before (many years ago actually). SimCity 4 with updated graphics and some gameplay updates is all you really need. Then we got CS5 instead.
I haven't play CS4 in years. Maybe I should.
