I have been in que for either a 3070 or 3080 lower tiered cards since the end of october.
No notifies for me. I am now wondering if it was a mistake to go for the lower end cards.
Perhaps they are a lower profit margin and EVGA is not producing as many of these.

Fake shortage coming
I am not normally one to read conspiracy theories, but this sounds a bit scary (with the distinct chance some of it may be true)
I would like to hear what [H]ard folks think of this theory.

I have a Gigabyte Z370 and I run windows 7 pro. I had to get the lan and chipset drivers from intel . I got the sound drivers direct from realtek and am using a program called wufuc from github to continue to get updates for my "unsupported" coffee lake processor.
Wufuc is of course not...

Just got an 8600K this week. Last upgrade was Sandy Bridge. (2500K) I will be overclocking, but perhaps not to the extreme of the chip's capabilities.
I sure would like to get 5 years out of this rig. 2500K was a great processor. (still kicking too)

I have owned several death adders and they have been mostly good. Normally mine start to fail to register left clicks and sort of make gaming impossible. But replacing them every 2 years or so does not seem excessive. The one I currently use has a scroll wheel with a mind of its own.

In the early ninety's, the company I worked for brought in an ESD expert to teach us how to avoid ESD damage of components. (my employer was a mfg or electronic components) The expert gave a very good informative class. After the class we were asking random questions regarding ESD safe films...
Sounds like you are going to enjoy that upgrade. It is always nice to upgrade either a GPU or CPU separately and not be bottlenecked by the component you did not upgrade. And in your case you will see significant performance increase in your gaming. Is there a cooler upgrade coming as well...
