I don't have money to throw away like most kids seem to think they do as they upgrade their phones every year attempting to satisfy that never ending lust.. Quality and longevity shouldn't be a dramatically more expensive experience especially when competitors seemingly have better components...
I just heard an Asus rep say the "E" version has 5k rated caps as opposed to the Crosshair that has 10K rated caps. Still disappointing for what you pay.
Nothing is mentioned except, "Durable capacitors" on these variations of this mobo. Anybody know if Asus is using Nichicon caps like they mention in the Hero model? I'd rather not have a mobo that has less than stellar caps. "Durable" sounds cheap.
The Asrock Taichi and Steel Legend use 12K...
Do the new high power excursion tolerances, associated with ATX 3.0 or PCIe 5.0, only apply when using the 12VHPWR connector or does it also apply to the other PCI-e connectors your gpu may be connected to? If so, then buying any ATX 3.0 PCIe 5.0 psu is pointless if you're not using the 12VHPWR...

Does the Vertex line 12VHPWR port have it's own dedicated rail? I was thinking of using the Vertex with my 7900xtx, but if I don't need/use the 12VHPWR port, there would be 600 watts unavailable-since it's reserved for this port--if it has it's own dedicated rail.
CODMW (not 2) pulled 415 watts! Fans were loud. Averaged maybe 170-ish fps. I have no idea if that's good for 1440p everything maxed out. Is that slow?
Trying to figure out the bios switch position. It came with the bios switch towards the rear of the card/away from the power connector. Isn't that the lower performance bios option? XFX 7900XTX Merc 310 Black
Battlefield Bad Company 2 isn't running that great with this card. I max just over 200fps and it frequently dips around 100fps. At the server menu it sits at 112fps. I think my 1080ti did much better. I'd like to keep it running at least 144 fps to match my monitor refresh rate.
Just installed my 7900XTX a few minutes ago and the latest Adrenaline drivers. What settings should I have enabled for gaming in the software? Is the Anti-lag setting effective w/o negative consequences?
I've only found blocks for reference 7900XTX cards coming soon, but no mention from any manufacturer, that I've found, of plans for water blocks for the XFX 7900XTX MERC310 Black Edition.
Anybody know more than I? The 7900XTX XFX MERC310 Black cards seem to be popular.

I tried the netplwiz option, but when I click apply it asks for a password. I don't have a password. I use a PIN.
I installed a registry hack but that didn't work
Win 10 Pro Version 1909.
Simply logging in to my account didn't work. Using the troubleshooter didn't either. Calling Microsoft didn't even work. Cs said I had to use my key code from my Win 7 install and use the change my product serial number option. Luckily after all these years I found it in my e-mail folder and it...
Thanks. After watching Jayztwocents point out all of the wrong stock voltage settings on things I've never heard of not to mention the rest of the options I know nothing about--AMD--, a guide is something I really need.
Oc'ing guide for this board?
Also, I can't post anything at the Asus ROG forums for some reason. I get an access denied error when I click submit. Been that way for a week now. Anybody else have issues posting there?
I'm going to install a new mobo and cpu, What's the best way to transfer my current digital license to the clean install to it? Should I create a Microsoft account to tie my current license to this account somehow?
Update: I just linked my Product Key to my Microsoft Acct.
So, after a clean...
My current monitor won't display any image, but the indicator light is on. Lights on, but nobody's home. Display and HDMI port the same. User interface adjustments also won't show.
Now I have an excuse to upgrade my monitor. Prefer black blacks, but accurate colors and relatively low input lag...
Signature is just stiffer. I'm not aware of any flexing issues with any of the other non monolithic designs. Anybody heard?
Can't decide which version of the Foundation I want. Raw copper or Pro-XE nickel. First world problems. Haha!
Just placed the order for the 3900X, mobo and NVME. now to find the HK IV Pro in stock somewhere...or Optimus--I'll have to compare
The Optimus looks to be less restrictive and has same size fitting as my Raystorm Pro, but $179 for the Signature V2. Curious how the less expensive Foundation...
Considering going back to AMD. Likely a 3900X system and will have to buy another block unless there's an AMD adapter. Is the Heatkiller IV the best performing or close to it?
I didn't know this. How does that apply to what you see on the screen as a true representation of what the print will look like? The screen image should, as close as possible, mirror the details and information in the image itself.
I don't understand why IPS panels are used for photo if the contrast ratios are so bad. They say colors are superior, but you want accurate dark colors and black areas of the photo in addition to the other colors. I don't edit my photos at an angle (who does lol) on my VA monitor, so it's more...
The Samsung Q6, 7,8,9 have 1440p 120Hz above 55". I'm considering the Q6. It has contrast ratios far above the best pc monitor w/ VA panel and low input lag and the 55" isn't too expensive. Just bigger than I prefer.
I can't find an in depth comparison between these two. Anybody know which is the better monitor for gaming and some photo work? Uniformity, VA glow, colors ect. Never had a curved monitor, so not sure how that factors.
My current BenQ has atrocious vertical banding and 70 Hz is the max it will...
