With Zen 4, the X3D CPUs released about 4 months after the regular Zen 4 CPUs. That was the 7950X3D and 7900X3D. The 7800X3D took about 3 more months.
My impression at the time, is that AMD and TSMC needed that time to perfect the manufacturing process and then get some chips stocked. As they...
Ah ha.
Well, the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED is a refreshed design. Its still the same panel, but it has newer features. like HDMI 2.1, 4K downscaling, USB-C with DP alt and 60w power delivery. Passive cooling, no fan. Recently in the US, it is available for the same price as the Alienware stuff. Might...
Monitors Unboxed has started using an MSI 32URX for daily productivity. We'll see if they do regular videos about it.

Based on anecdotal evidence, as well as RTings TV torture test: it seems like WOLED is a bit more resistant to burn-in.
The LG does have some extra features, though. I do think it should cost less. But, I don't think it should necessarily cost less than QD-OLED monitors.
Decent speaker solution
optical out
headphone out
480hz/1080p mode, with monitor integer scaling.
hardware calibration
However, it does lack...
Some motherboards flexed more than others.
From what I've seen, there is generally a 1-3 degree improvement, even in situations where it seems like its not needed. AM5 included.
I build ITX, so I am always doing all the little tweaks to squeeze out an extra couple degrees. I put contact plates...
If you can recieve the MSI by Tuesday and get a review posted on the site you purchase from (and register for the promotion): you can get a $50 steam voucher + Dragon's Dogma 2.
Might be too late for free shipping. But, the $50 voucher could essentially pay for expedited and you'd still get...
At Best Buy you can recycle on old monitor and get 10% off LG and Samsung monitors. Stack with retailmenot 4%.
Not as good as the LG.com stacks. But, solid.
Seems to me the only "issue" with MSI's pixel clean, is that it turns the monitor off when finished. And people don't seem to want that...
I've had 4 VRR monitors now.
One 32 curved VA from Samsung. Which had no flicker, ever.
One 27 inch 75hz Asus ProArt. No flicker, ever.
One 27 inch 240hz Monoprice Dark Matter (made by KTC). No flicker, ever.
Once 27 inch KTC OLED. Flickered often in the opening forest segment of Alan Wake 2...
Eh, Elden Ring PC at launch, while technically playable; was a very poor experience for many people. The amount of major hitching, rubberbanding, and full on halting of the game logic, was extremely intrusive to play. It took them about 2 - 3 weeks to smooth it out enough to be an smaller...
Hardware unboxed simply has VRR flicker as a checkbox in a data sheet, which they show near the end of their reviews. and then they may or may not very briefly mention it. Sometimes they will go so far as to say something like "no flicker in any of our test patterns".
But, that's the most they...
set it to 120
Its not about why don't they make every possible option a choice
The point is that some games which can't hit a consistent 60 and are therefore typically locked to 30 in the great console development tradition---- are actually able to hit a consistent 40. Which feels quite a bit...
It has been a pretty weird chronicle for these ARC GPUs. It reminds me a lot of emulation development. What I mean is, it leaves me with a (false) impression that this GPU was engineered and produced with some initial documentation. But, the (pirate) driver team has had to sort of reverse...
This is nothing. Most drives will hit 80c with no airflow and/or heatsink. There really aren't many which don't approach 80c, with no cooling.
And 380 gigabytes is a lot of sustained writing, before throttling with no cooling. Absolutely nothing wrong with the UD90 review which you linked...
On another note:
I've been seeing more than a few comments around the internet (in discussion about the new wave of monitors), of people saying that QD-OLED hurts their eyes. I've been wondering about that. Because VA panels hurt my eyes, within about 10 minutes.
So I went to Best Buy today...
Yeah, really dumb.
And I dunno how they are not shipping for a week and a half, during a promotion deadline, for which their site is one of the featured sites. I understand its Passover. But, uhhh....
I cancelled my order and left a large comment about why. Nothing harsh. Just laying out the...
I ordered the MSI MPG 321URX from Adorama. Their page didn't say anything at the time, about it being backordered. But, it went straight to backorder.
And now I was looking at my order, and found that they observe passover, starting 4/22. and won't ship anything until May 1st. So even if it...
Pics of 4070 Windforce
In one pic, you will see some bright green duct tape around where the pci bracket screw goes in.
I always do that, to minimize marks from the screw. Tape will be removed before shipping.
No big damage. Only real cosmetic issue, is some minor scratching around the front...
IMO, enforce Intel stock limits and update your bios as soon as updates come out, for the next 2 or 3 updates (and re-do the actual intel limits, after each update).
You might lose a couple thousand in Cinibench all core. But, you will lose zero gaming performance, use a lot less power, and it...
I replaced all switches on my Haute Board, with Epomaker Sea Salt Silent switches. They feel good and are so quiet. Love it.

Found a Switch case I no longer use. Works perfectly for Haute Board and its cable.

Sometimes they update some mobo pages, but not others.
Station drivers links official drivers.
Is it an Intel TB controller or something else?
This is the latest Intel driver

Well to double check, both devices need to be connected to the monitor, via USB. In this case, one via USB-B to A. And the other, via USB-C.
The firmware update doesn't mention any improvements for the KVM. But I would install it, if you havent.
It affects colors. Not only black levels.
And black level has a relation to color contrast, anyway.
WOLED is better in a bright room. The panel itself is black and has a polarizing layer, to limit entry of outside light and reflections.
You can tell by the official pictures, the heatsinks are a little shorter than the IO sheild. And the plastic shroud which covers the back panel connections, is a teensy bit taller than the I/O shield. If you have something which sits tightly over that area, you may need to remove that plastic...
Unfortunately, the 4070 TI Super is only barely better than the 4070 TI, in actual performance.
It does have 16GB of VRAM, instead of 12GB. But that only matters.....when it matters. IMO, the 4070 TI super isn't a good buy.
