DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Did you have to do any modding to the FTW cooler to get it to fit on your Titan? I'm wondering if I could get this cooler to work on a 1080 Ti FE.

How is the idle noise? I'm about to step up as well, thinking about selling it as soon as I get it and buying an SC2 or FTW if it'll fit.

Got my case today! I'm in NC. My USPS tracking never updated until it was put on my porch.

I haven't done that yet with the TY-100. I did do it with the Noctua fan and the temps were worse.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I took the screenshots at random times after stopping the benchmarks. The max temps are what you want to compare. Yeah, 5-9 depending on the core, but it is also quieter.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

A made a couple changes to my CoolJag setup and got pretty good increases in performance. I was finally able to complete a 10 minute (actually did 15) Prime95 run while keeping my temps lower than the C7. First, was that I realized that the cooler was basically oriented incorrectly in my...

I ordered from frozencpu as well. I had two baggies with brackets in mine and one of them had 1151 brackets inside. Initially, when I thought I didn't have them I contacted [email protected] and they offered to send the brackets to me. So give that a shot.

Anyone looking for TY-100 fans can get them directly from ThermalRight or, as previously posted, from nansgaminggear.net. I contacted both via email and was quoted: $10 shipped internationally direct from ThermalRight (I assume from Taiwan to the US) or $6.99 plus shipping from nansgaminggear.net

The manual that comes with it says that it only supports 775 and 1366 but there is an 115x bracket in the box. It has 3 holes in it. I thought the same thing when I got mine. Double check your accessories.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Ahh ok. Yeah, I'll retest once I get my A4, I'll probably try reversing the fans again as well. The CoolJag is definitely quieter. Yeah I used Prime95 26.6.

I'd like to find one of these as well. I emailed Thermalright, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Ignore the clock speeds in the screen shots. After the benchmark runs the clock speed bounces around and it just happened to be in different spots when I took the screen shots. Both tests were @ 4.2Ghz during load. The max temps are the relevant info.

So, I've done a little testing with the 2 coolers I have; the CoolJag Falcon II (w/ Noctua A9x14) and the Cryorig C7. The tests were done in my Abee Acubic T20R with all the case fans unplugged and the side panel off. System Asus Strix Z270i i7 6700K 16GB Gskill DDR2400 EVGA 1080 SC...

These never had heatsinks, here is the link: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231964 I just bent them back and forth a few times and they broke off. I hope to be able to do some testing tonight. I'm currently pulling air through the heatsink and blowing onto the socket.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I got the CoolJag installed on my Asus Strix Z270i. Barely fits, but it does fit. Between the VRM heatsink, IO heatsink and Wi-Fi shroud I can just barely slide a sheet of paper through.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I wondered about that as well. I would think you'd get slightly less cooling without the aluminum piece. Whether it would be measurable or not? Not sure. The mounting brackets for the cooler sandwich between the aluminum and copper base though so you'd need to attach some sort of bolt to...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Just got my CooJag Falcon II. The copper base is attached to the heatpipes somehow (soldered?), I can't see any solder but it seems to be attached well. The aluminum heatspreader fins are part of the aluminum base that screws to the copper. I don't have a pic but they were easy to bend back...

How will me know when C2 steppings z87 are out?

I've seen confirmation from people that have received the Asus Maximus VI Impact overseas that it has the C2. So other boards with the C2 revision should be out any time now. I can't remember where I saved this pic from. :)

    Abee Acubic T20R + Asus P8Z77I-D Mini-ITX Build

Yep, very easy to install everything. I don't think I"m going to put an ODD in. I only use my Blu-Ray drive to rip movies occasionally. I'm just going to hook that up to my media smart server when needed. I don't understand why no one makes a mini-itx case that will take a large heatsink...

    Abee Acubic T20R + Asus P8Z77I-D Mini-ITX Build

Yeah, I was slightly dissapointed in not getting over 4.5. With more tweaking I may be able to squeeze out a few more Mhz. I can pass IBT standard @ 4.7, but it takes a lot of volts and I didn't really want to go too far over 1.3v. This system is an upgrade from a Xeon 3110/E8400 and I'm still...

    Abee Acubic T20R + Asus P8Z77I-D Mini-ITX Build

It is very well constructed and it feels really solid. It lacks the "rattle" that my old Lian Li had. All of the pieces seem to be cut very precisely and everything slides in to place nicely. I didn't really have any issues working inside the case despite its size. I like that the top...

    Abee Acubic T20R + Asus P8Z77I-D Mini-ITX Build

Thanks, yeah the heatsink completely dwarfs the board :). I don't feel like the motherboard is flexing much at all it feels very solid. I guess because the board is so much smaller than a full-sized board it doesn't matter much that only the corners are secured.

ASUS Z77 Motherboards - Official Support Thread

Nice! I hope I can get one of these sometime next week. The P8Z77-I looks awesome. I see that a Noctua NH-D14 will fit on this, any idea if a Thermalright Silver Arrow will? The heatsink portion of the Thermalright is ~4mm lower (40.87mm vs 44mm) than the Noctua. I'm concerned that it...

VMware Fault Tolerance between Sandy Bridge Xeon and Non-Xeon

I read that processors in the two hosts must be of the same processor family and be within 400Mhz of each other in order to minimize issues with the Fault Tolerance setting. Will FT work between say, a Sandy Bridge Xeon E3-1230 and a 2500/2600k? I wasn't sure how rigid this requirement was...

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look at the thread. I had heard that 4k disks weren't playing nice with OpenSolaris. Is this still the case? Can i use 3TB drives?
