Posted it on craigslist as well, I live in the SF Bay Area (too many people with $$$), pretty sure it'll be picked up before the weekend is up.
It's been reposted to reddit with the new timestamp -
In for another one.. I already have two of these drives on my Ryzen desktop (which I bought for 149$ each from Amazon so 133$ + coupon is an awesome deal IMO). Will replace the one on my Hackintosh with this one - crossing my fingers, no issues. Opted for this one instead of the Inland...

We'll never reach space in our lifetime, and there's nothing to look forward to ( space program sucks ), this game + virtual reality scratches that itch - specially if you are a space fan. If one has the disposable income (and not go overboard), why not? Can't bring money with you when you...

Hello All,
I have a Brand New AMD AM4 Wraith Spire LED Cooler for sale - it came off an R7-1700X CPU Bundle - asking 47$ shipped via USPS Priority Mail - CONUS only...
I received both my RMA'd chips from AMD (R7-1700X, R7-1700 - both had the SEGV issue). The R7-1700X is UA1727SUS, and the R7-1700 is UA1730SUS. So far - the 1700X passed testing, but the 1700 is still running (got 12 more hours to go).
Same Stepping - Same Microcode (from AGESA 1.0.0.6a)...
Loaded BIOS defaults (nothing changed - RAM is running at 2133 MT/s).
My main system has 2 x 16 GB Sticks (Dual Rank Chips)
My secondary system has 2 x 8 GB Stick (Dual Rank Chips as well)
Update - I got the replacement R7-1700X with a build date of UA1728SUS from RMA. I installed it, set the BIOS to defaults and ran the benchmark - also CTD'd. Currently testing the CPU under Linux.
Was chatting back and forth with the AOTS devel and they released a hotfix. From their...
The R7-1700 (which I'm sending back as soon as I get the RMA # is UA 1714PGT - so week 14 of 2017. I haven't looked at my R7-1700X yet but it's one of the OG's (purchased it release day) so it'll have an even older MFG date.
Both my machines have two sticks each - this issue happens on both of them (BIOS Defaults, nothing overclocked, XMP disabled)
Machine 1
AMD R7-1700X
Taichi (v3.0 BIOS)

I tried the new v2.4 update for AOTS:Singularity that adds VULKAN support as well. Also crashes to the desktop when SMT is enabled (Vulkan Mode). I personally believe this issue is related to the LInux Ryzen SEGV issue.
Still waiting for AMD to send me an RMA number for the CPU and will test...
The EPYC running the phoronix test suite may have to do with a specific php build conftest and may not actually be an issue.
The link you posted above though from raydude is a totally different test, just basically compiling GCC (one instance with -j $NUM_LOGICAL_PROCCESORS) in a build loop so...
Well, it's bigger than that - looks like the segfaults are also being reproduced on EPYC. And the number of "Linux" boxes in the datacenters is quite large these days. ESX for example runs the Linux kernel and tools, the googles, the facebooks - they run Linux servers. People running the...
On my tests (building GCC 7.1) running on a build loop - I get Internal Compiler Errors, or one of make's utils failing and etc on both my ryzen boxes which never happens on my Intel box. Given that these tools have been around for a really long time and developers on general come to rely on...
Prime95 is not a "general' use case from a processor use perspective, concurrent code compiles are actually doing "real" work ( lots more context switching going on, usage and flushing of caches).
High system CPU usage, playing that game, streaming it too as well, some windows background processes running - a program just crashes randomly and you'll blame it on the OS, or the Game as a bug.
Yes, it runs on my Intel systems just fine (ran it for two days). Additionally, if I disable opcache on my primary RIG (Taichi), can't disable it on my secondary right (no UEFI option) - looks like I gain some stability but I'm not sure if it'll eventually fail if I run it continuously for...
Yes, and so did a couple of people on the amd community forums. I actually wrote the procedure above (LiveUSB) to make it easier for Windows guys to see if they have the same problem on their systems. A bunch of guys tried it and ran into the problem, the problem may be more widespread but...
Half of the instructions are to write the ISO image into a USB Flash drive, and boot with the USB Flash drive. Much easier than trying to install Linux on the HDD and learning all the commands. A bunch of people tried it on reddit and ran into this issue.
My two ryzen systems are...
If some of you guys have some free time, would it be possible for you guys to run the following test? No need to install Linux on the HDD (installing it on USB Flash Drive would do). My two Ryzen systems looks stable under Windows but fails compiling code under Linux when heavily loaded. A...
Kyle, would it be possible for you to run Linux GCC Compile Stress tests after you perform your benchmarks?
Would be nice if the Linux community can find out if TR is having the same problems as the RYZEN chips segfaulting during heavy compile load. No need to install it on the HDD, LiveUSB...

Thermaltake Core V1 Mini-ITX Case (Cube)
Gigabyte H170N-Wifi Mini-ITX Motherboard...
It's not any third party program, reinstalled windows today and just did the following
1) Reinstalled Windows 10 Creators Edition cleanly from USB
2) Allowed windows update to run and install updates
3) Installed Ryzen Chipset 17.10 drivers
4) Installed NVIDIA 384.76 drivers
5) Disabled Windows...
Why? Doesn't Ryzen 7 already do that? And much cheaper to boot platform wise? If people want more I/O and more mem bandwidth and can afford X399, pretty sure you can afford a CPU at < 999$
Threadripper will officially support ECC RAM (buffered too?), something X299 can't - should be selling...
^bump - added Ryzen 7 1700 CPU (With Wraith LED cooler) + Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 MOBO - COMBO for 360$. Local only though
Bonus: will throw in an Intel PCI Express NIC for free as not everyone loves the Realtek NIC the board comes with.
K, it's nice to know that the problem may be isolated to specific systems - only thing I haven't replaced so far is the CPU.
Will try getting a Warranty Replacement with AMD.
Tried this test 10 times (this past hour), alternating in between SMT ON and SMT OFF (only thing changed in the BIOS) - rebooting in-between each time then running the bench 2 minutes in after login. Just tried mutiple back to back runs on the DX12 bench with SMT off and that works fine as...
