Alright First Timer here, Up and running CPU, nothing for GPU yet, im assuming this is normal currently? Setup with team 33, do i need a passkey still?
Im all for it if it pulls more people in! ill stick with my hardware solution, but for many who want a turn key solution, with no hardware knowledge needed. Bam instant cross platform gaming. AMD's stock sure got a shot in the arm from this announcement!
This was first reported back in Nov of last year no? So looks like this confirms it, AMD owns 2019, hopefully Intel can counter in 2020, love that competition is back, 2003 all over again!
I really hope they take the performance crown this summer, but I feel like the two memory channels are going to be the constraining factor to feed those 32 threads. Hopefully memory clocks nice and high on that IO die with a good amount of cache to help out. Looking forward to launch!
Been waiting to see what this card can do opened up. Pretty strong showing albeit at crazy powerdraw levels. Looking forward to more of the results as proper blocks roll out and more cards get tested.
Yeah the judging a woman's merit based solely on her ass or tits is bullshit. That toxic masculinity guiding your life ensures women see you as a shallow asshole. Sure looks are part of the equation, but a little life advice, starts viewing them as people, not just based on two bags of fat...
EK stated blocks would be ready in a months time, not sure what you guys had planned, but would be great if you can swing it! If not, all good, someone will put something up out there. Appreciate the time invested! behaves similarly to OG Vega, I wonder if soft powerplay table mods will boost...
So crazy thinking, do think there is a way western society could adopt this somehow without falling into abuse of power cases? I see some merit to something like this, obviously not the way China has decided to roll it out, but perhaps some country can implement it, perhaps only to bring the...
Im guessing so, if the rumours of TSMC's constrained 7nm production are true, getting 8 good chiplets on a TR die is going to take quite a few wafers away from mainstream, with only 1-2 chiplets. I see them pushing TR off while they feed Server and Mainstream until production ramps enough to...
We shall see, glad to see AMD push the market forward, PCIe 4.0 and potentially a 16/32 mainstream platform chip will be amazing. Interested in seeing how memory speeds/performance scales, those two channels are gonna be pushed.
Thanks fellas, good read and a fair awarding of a silver. Im looking forward to a followup once drivers have matured and perhaps a block is built for this card. My V64 loves life under a waterblock. Im betting that those clocks even out a little once under water. 2000/1200 would give some sweet...
Put about 6 hours into it this past weekend, im coming in green as i didnt play the first. Enjoyed it! and the scenery looked great as well, ran awesome in DX12 on my Vega. Finally a DX12 title that improves performance! 3440x1440 using the high preset, it ran between 64-75 depending on the...
Well we shall see how it shakes out in a month or so, give the drivers a chance to mature a little for the new card, and overclocking tools fixed for the new design. Card is definitely not a home run, but a solid offering to keep AMD in the high end. Imma stick with my V64, great performance...
Cheesus Crust AMD! you had one job...Well seems to be the trend these days, all releases are rushed from all teams. I do like that were are seeing 2000+ clocks using the auto overclock. Give it a months time, hopefully OverdriveN, AB and GPU-Z will get there programs updated for the new design...
Looks great! So im now expecting all the games that implement DLSS will have this 50% performance uplift! Good news for all! Oh wait...this is only a demo, rendering the exact same scene over and over again, so the DLSS can train perfectly for this. So what were actually looking at is best case...
For reference my V64 pulled 8482 in Timespy @ 1725/1150 vs 8700 for the stock VII . Looking forward to VII being waterblocked and overclocked. Lets see what 7nm can do for vega!
I wish I had your money, I'd just burn my own. 10k on a computer desk is rediculous (and just a modification at that) . But champagne tastes and caviar dreams must be fufilled for the rich folks I suppose! 10k much better spent elsewhere in the house, bathrooms, kitchen etc...haha anyways forget...
Haha, I remember the first complaints about that desk was back when you had crossfired 290X's under there. And youre still fighting with it! I say youre due for a desk modification to allow for air to escape upwards, taking the tabletop off and making some slits along the back of it all the way...
Im glad pricing is coming down to the masses (even if Nvidia are the definition of asshats), these cards will be much more futureproof then the 10 series with hardware async baked in. 6GB is going to limit the card down the road still though (more so on the 2060). Looking forward to seeing it...
Gimme a base model corvette for the same price that will walk all over this thing...335hp is weak AF for a sports car at this price unless its an caterham or something similar.
Lets hope they can turn a new leaf and be more consumer centric. Glad the black out days are coming to an end. I think we have another company to thank for this push though...Competition, glad its back!
Get the waterblocks ready! Lets see what 7nm Vega can do... 1900-2000Mhz on the core would be sweet. HBM im guessing will hit the 1200 numbers, thats a shit ton of bandwidth. Lets open er up!
I get that it could be slightly distracting, but totally understandable if you listen. Im not sure how folks cant comprehend what hes saying, so basically who gives a shit what he sounds like as long as the overall message is clear. I get that folks like other mediums of information as in...
He was right on many of the items, not everything for sure, but i would never bet on speculation to be 100% ever. Made some good educated guesses and he reads between the lines on a lot of things to pull more information, he has a few sources of info to draw from and im sure he will re-evaluate...
My 1660 v2 (4960X) does 175/1316 in CB R15, X79 lives on for another year or so for me. Trying to hold off till DDR5...but the reviews of the 3000 series could sway that.
Leather was a funny underhanded dig at Huang. They are doing single chiplet design first because of supply constraints I bet. The first priority is Epyc using 4 of em and then desktop follows, so keeping that constrained to 1 chiplet for now makes the most sense for early 7nm yields, and looks...
Haha, what a little bitch...Competition releases an updated competitive chip and all he can do is trashtalk before even testing it. Nvidia has the performance crown for sure at the top, so why shit all over the launch of the smaller player? Dick move by Leather Daddy, I guess its par for the...
im hoping for AMD to gain some more marketshare this year, build those coffers and push that performance envelope and drive the whole market forward. Glad the Intel monopoly and stagnation is coming to an end.
You guys are awesome! thanks for the follow up. I appreciate that you guys take input from your readers and paint a more complete picture of performance. Id love to see how my machine stacks up to these results, glad I went HEDT 5 years back!
I enjoy it, they still have some work to do on it, but its got a great footing to grow from. People hate on things, just because they wanna hear themselves talk at times. So issues get a little blown out of proportion once in awhile. Runs awesome on my machine as well. Glad I went the Vega...
