Does it take more video card power to display, let's say, a 42" screen at 1920*1080 than it does for a smaller screen at the same resolution, let's say 27" at 1920*1080. i, for some reason, think that it MAY take more power.. but i don't understand WHY, if it's the same resolution?

if one were to use a universal GPU block, how do you then cool the rest of the board? from what i've seen, none of the blocks will cover anything except the center chip, leaving the rest out to languish in the open air.

i haven't been able to really find anything on this, but you'd think there'd be quite a market for modular PSUs for HTPC cases that use mATX power supplies. barring being able to buy one.. how hard would it be to mod an existing PSU to be modular?
