Massive player base on PC.....7th most played game on steam with 409,367 concurrent players at one stage today. Any dev going console exclusive these days clearly does not like money.

My three friends and I stuck it out through all the queues and crashes and beat Helldive mode against both factions last night.
Level 28, 29, 30 and 31.

I'm actually surprised we were able to beat it all. Not more than three or four days ago we laughed at the idea of going to the highest difficulty.

But we found the overall meta:
Stim Armor
Auto Shotgun
Jetpack
Laser Orbital
Grenade Launcher
Strike or orbital of your choice.
Stam, Ammo, Health boosts are a must.

With four players loaded up like this, kiting anything becomes pretty simple to do.

At one point we had not three, not four, but five bug bosses trailing us, along with about 6 to 7 chargers,10 or so biles and who knows how many dozens of extra.
Bots side, equivalent numbers with LOADS more bruisers.

Hoping they add another faction and some extra meat in the upgrade/unlock department. Helmets and capes serve no purpose which is kind of a bummer.

As well - there is absolutely NOTHING I like in the premium pages. It's all junk. P2W my ass.

Overall - hilarious fun with a group of friends. But man oh man does the server issues really test your patience. Was it worth it? 100% yes.

8.5/10

It's over the shoulder, so you don't have that issue.
Regardless, my own head is blocking my line of sight. It's a bad aesthetic, it turns me off and I won't support games that only run in 3rd person.

This also applies to platform games and most console games. I don't feel connected to my character when I'm observing them from the outside.

I admit I do not feel as strongly about this as I do about the fact that cheating in multiplayer games should be a capital crime.

It's close though.

You know you can aim and shoot in first person too, right?

Steam score is starting to drop, people are copy pasting the devs comments from discord because posting them to steam seems to be too much work for the devs.
Lol, reminds me of mmo games where every news bit is on Twitter, but not their own site or forums.

There are allegations I saw on the steam forums that Sony/Devs are deleting comments and/or banning people who talk about the problems with the game. Even on the sub forum specifically meant for the anti-cheat program complaints.

If that's true, it's a massive marketing failure.

On PC its bound to your scroll wheel button, and you have settings to remember it per-weapon or globally. You also have a setting to have a tap of the aim button to 1st person and a hold of the aim button to stay 3rd person.

In other news, I tried to load into a match this morning and it hung my computer on the drop pod screen, then my 990 Pro 2TB died. Can't detect it in BIOS any more.

Say you play this as a team with your friends, how many hours till you beat the full game?

Ouch, is that one of the models with problems? I can't remember which ones had issues from a year or two ago. I know it was the 970 for production up to a certain date. That or is it some issue with the anti-cheat software perhaps.

No, its a brand new one with the latest firmware. Its had hundreds of hours of games like Cyberpunk played on it, temps were good and it has a beefy aftermarket heatsink.

My three buddies and I probably put 30-35 hours in to work our way up to the hardest difficulty.

YMMV.
But is there any ending? Or it just keep looping against the CPU AI bots? You never play against actual real players online right?

I don't believe there's an actual ending. Just that you continuously take on new missions and unlock the remaining perks(ship modules). Which will take a lot more time.

The journey of getting to the highest level and beating whatever mission comes your way is where the meat and potatoes are in this game. The game is pretty challenging overall. Especially when you and friends are trying to figure each enemies weakness while trying to collaborate on how to overcome the absolute chaos that comes your way. It's a lot of fun.

No pvp.

I will say - they're most likely going to add another faction or two to the game. As on the map, there's room for at least one more, possibly two in the blank areas.

Servers are still absolute shit, which isn't shocking.

Most definitely. They also have mechs coming "soon".

I really want to play the game, haven't been able to for 3 days now, and the developers attitude is not giving much hope that's going to change.

Supposedly there is no queue, it's random who gets into the game.

You're not wrong about the lack of an actual queue.
If you're playing solo, there's a near-zero chance anyone will join your in-progress session.
If you're trying to play with friends, your only hope of playing together is using the 'Join Game' function from your Steams friend list.
In both instances, you shouldn't wait around to be "Let in" to the game. If you fire up the game and you're not on your ship in less than 5 minutes, alt-F4 and trying again is the way.

People are leaving the game running overnight to get around queue times, apparently. An update should be coming soon that adds an AFK timer to prevent those people from clogging up the servers. For the CEO's part, he says it's worth waiting for the server issues to be resolved before buying the game.

Glad to see this. A buddy of mine was doing this too. Frustrating to see they've allowed it.

When you say new missions, how many missions are there in total? And how are they always new?

Best + most fun co-op game I've played in ages. I love how the accidental TKs are basically part of the game ;)
How long till the fun runs out though? I mean you're playing against bots? I'm trying under the longevity of this game playing against AI?

Wow this sounds terrible. Also, I don't think this is possible for adults. Coordinating 4 adults is extremely difficult and not realistic. Most gamers play solo queue.

Day 4 or not being able to play, according to reddit I should just be happy that others are enjoying the game and I just need to be patient.

Matchmaking working on PC, at leas,t consistently post-patch. Once you get into the game that is. Made it so much more fun being able to find squads and not be relegated to solo if no friends around.
