I have a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme that I bought from Best buy on June 13 last summer to play D4 on while I had to travel.
Model: RC71L-ALLY.Z1X_512
Since the summer, and maybe 40 hours on it, it's just been gathering dust since I work from home presently and haven't had the need.
It's it excellent...
They are slowly dripping the LE's into stock!
Keep it in your cart and keep refreshing until the button shows up. I just got one all the way through checkout!
I didn't end up buying anything.
However my main consideration with laptops now is thermal management. I'm really annoyed by laptops advertising these new chips but actually their thermal management is too poor to support them.
I have a Ubiquiti ES-16-150W poe switch with ears. https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/es-16-150w
I used this for about a a year before switching to an Omada setup. $75 shipped CONUS
I have two nVidia Shield Pro (2019) units with remotes and power adapters in perfect working condition. They do...
So far my ally has been enjoyable. My gripe is that windows doesn't make the handheld easy.
Steam deck is a custom Linux OS without all the Microsoft bloat. Asus needs something to stop Microsoft from fucking it up.
However, if you're ok with navigating windows to uninstall dumb shit and fix...
I picked one up today, initial setup was clunky and lots of updates. Windows is sorta screwing Asus here a little bit by doing stupid things like forcing a default install of office and onedrive etc. Once you update everything and clean up the garbage it runs well.
I only tried D4 on it so far...
I have the upgrade itch. I'm selling my HTP-1 theater processor.
These are $4000 when you can even find them in stock, and the DLBC multi-subwoofer license is $500 on top of that.
I'm looking for $3400 for the device and license.
I have the factory box, and it's in like new condition. No...
