As soon as I installed my FE 4080S, my TX-1000 started switching off every few days under gpu load. It's driving me nuts. I tried disconnecting the 12V sense wire but no change. What's weird is that the 4080S is about 100w less than the notorious Evga 3080Ti FTW3 that was in the machine...
Yeah so I had a surprising development yesterday. Well first, the latest TX-1000 + evga 3080 Ti FTW3 has been 100% fine since last Oct (so 7 months usage no hiccups). Yesterday I swiped the TX-1000 and 3080 Ti for a new build. I installed the original older 850W with a humble RTX 3050. Guess...
Today I installed the SeaSonic Prime TX-1000 to replace the older SeaSonic Prime 850 Ultra Titanium. So far, no accidental OCP (over current protection) triggers with the 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra. Handy that the cables were the same, so I could just swap PSUs without re-threading the entire case with...
Just got an "EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 GAMING" card, and my "SeaSonic Prime Ultra 850 Titanium" (purchased June 2018) flips my PC off and back on after a while of some gaming. I guess I will try an updated TX-1000 unit. It was never my plan to have a 350W video card, but that's what was offered to...
Is this what's-his-name reincarnated? He used so many names and so many accounts on so many forums. I think so, because if you search this thread title, OP has posted it to dozens of sites. Yup, it's him, I recognize some of the handles. Can't believe this guy is STILL at it.
Hi, Litwicki.
The old AMD building was demolished to make way for another round of condos I believe. Sunnyvale Fry's would make a great location for a grocery store. In fact, I'm gonna call that in as my wager right now.
Wrt computer parts, seemed like Fry's tried to move parts to people that weren't savvy enough to have a look online. 99% of their usb thumb drives were old and slow, and the couple models that were recent cost twice what they did online and were locked in a plastic cabinet by the rep's PC...
The key I received upgraded Home to Pro. The catch was that as soon as I installed the Asus specific software on my laptop, it would lock to Home (thus it wouldn't upgrade the stock OS install). So I had to do a clean install, PITA. Save your C:\eSupport folder if you have an Asus laptop...
