Nope it does not show up in the Disk Management screen. As I mentioned in the OP, when I changed the Storage Controller driver from "Marvell 61xx RAID Controller" to "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" the Device Manager refreshed the screen and my IDE hard drive appeared for a minute...

Thanks for your reply Luke O. Yes it does show in the BIOS as bootable device. Note that this only happens when I set the IDE drive as master.
