Been tinkering with computers since my first Atari in 1979. Started at a computer repair business in 1993 and moved into software development for a certain mega vendor from 1996-2006. Odd jobs since then, and I've fallen a bit off the tech radar in the last 10 years. Still working with CAD software at my buddy's shop. Built my own computers for over 25 years, except my current one which was a junk store find I plan to upgrade.

Amateur photographer since 1973. As a result I am quite interested in monitor and display technologies. I also have been an avid music collector and listener since 1969, building multiple stereo setups. Gamer from 1998, a few odd titles and then I played Half-Life Deathmatch and Team Fortress Classic. These games got me hooked. Then owned every console released in the 2000s, and built high-end gaming PCs playing new titles such as Battlefield 2, Oblivion, and so on. Stopped gaming largely in 2008 after the Recession forced me into longer hours and never eased up.
