Ah you weren’t around the other day. Was some weird ass Service Shifter message. The night it started there was a type of noise coming from the shifter too. So who knows.

Didn’t end up disconnecting the battery the other day. Just checked it with the multimeter. Was running short on time. We did have to risk her driving it that night because we had to be at different places with different kids at the same times. Error stayed but no noises. She ended up using it yesterday and error message cleared itself. So perhaps it’ll stay that way for a bit.

12.6v resting and 14.2 running on my multimeter.

I don’t think the battery has ever been changed though. I’ll have to ask her to see if it got done somewhere and I just don’t remember

Yeah. I haven't had a whole lot of luck pinpointing exactly what could be wrong researching. Some suggestions it could be wiring though a lot pointing toward the shifter itself needs to be replaced for some reason. Shrug.

There was a noticeable clanking noise coming from the shifter, which I suppose could be from the transmission itself. That's what would worry me about needing to drive it right now.
